April Technique Class - Daubers and Stamps

Last week was our April Technique Class, had fun with Daubers and Stamps and learnt that this is a great way to control the way you ink your stamps.  Taking a solid stamp, dab the color ink of your choice where you would like it, take the second color and do the same. Then "huff" on the stamp and stamp.  So easy!!

Here are the beautiful cards that we made:
Card #1 - Happy Celebrations!
Stamp Sets:  Happy Celebrations
Ink:  Black, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist
Paper:  Lemon Lime Twist Base, Picture Perfect Party DSP Layer, Whisper White, Black
Accessories:  Dimensionals, Balloon Punch, Glitter Paper, Black Cord

Taking Sponge Daubers in Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist, daub Berry Burst on the bottom half of the "Happy" and Lemon Lime Twist on the upper half. Huff on the stamp and stamp the word Happy on the 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White. Adhere to the Lemon Lime Twist 1 3/4" x 4" layer and then adhere to the Black 2" x 4 1/4" layer.Stamp the Birthday to You in Berry Burst on a Punch two balloons and adhere with Dimensionals.

Card #2 - For You
Stamp Sets:  Cake Soiree
Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Black, Powder Pink
Paper:  Powder Pink Base, Whisper White Layer, Sweet Soiree DSP, Old Olive Scraps
Accessories:  Sweet Cake Framelits, Dimensionals, Pearl Jewels, White/Silver Twine

Using Sponge Daubers, dab Sweet Sugarplum in the center of the flower, Melon Mambo around the edges, "huff" on the stamp and stamp the flower. Stamp and cutout the Leaves and Flower and Tag using the Sweet Cake Framelits. Adhere the Tag with Dimensionals, adhere leaves and flower to the tag.

Card #3 - Fancy Fold - Double Triangle Point
Stamp Sets:  Cake Soiree, Picture Perfect Birthday (inside)
Ink:  Black, Marina Mist, Rich Razzelberry, Old Olive
Paper:  Marina Mist base, Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White, Sweet Soiree DSP
Accessories:  Silver Sequins, Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder, Silver Edge Berry Burst Ribbon

This fold is so easy and results are just beautiful, when I found this fold I just fell in love!!  The best part when you cut it out, you actually cut out 2 card bases and 2 layers!  Taking a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Marina Mist cardstock, score at 5 1/2" on the 11" length, then turn cardstock and score at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" width. Now cut on the diagonal. Taking a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White, cut out on the diagonal. Cut out a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Sweet Soiree DSP and cut that out also on the diagonal. You now have enough pieces to make 2 cards. I used the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder to emboss the Whisper White pieces. Using the Layering Circles, cut out a scallop circle in Rich Razzelberry and a circle in Whisper White.

Card #3 Inside, isn't this just the neatest!!

These cards are available in a kit with more detailed instructions, just contact me to get in on the fun!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy Stamping!
