Cindy's Stamping Studio Blast from the Past - Shaving Cream Technique

Time for our next installment of my series, "Blast from the Past" and for the month of December, 2011 it was all about the Shaving Cream Technique. A really fun technique that always produces different results, you never have to worry about not having a Wow Factor, because this technique is just plain WOW!!!

Using some simple supplies, you will be able to produce some great cards.  With one Shaving Cream application, you can get up to 6 cards.  Here is what you will need:

• Shaving Cream (Not Gel, it has to be Shaving Cream)
• 2 to 4 Classic Ink Pad Reinkers
• Wooden Stick (Skewer) or Plastic Knife or Spoon
• Pie Tin, Paper Plate or Plastic tray
• Whisper White Cardstock
• Paper Towels
• Rubber Gloves
• Scrapping Tool

Cutting & Scoring:

• Whisper White 5” x 4” and 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
• Basic Black 4” x 5-1/4”
• Pumpkin Pie 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”

Instructions:

• Stamp the witch, broom and sentiment on the 5” x 4” whisper white cardstock in Memento Ink.
• Color the witch and broom using the Stampin’Blends.

• Cut out the witch using the second largest oval die from the stamped Whisper White 4’ x 5’ piece and the coordinating largest oval scalloped die from the Basic Black 4” x 5-1/4” mat using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Don’t worry about cutting into the back mat, just make sure you cut out from the middle since you will cover this up with the Pumpkin Pie piece.
• Cut out the broom and sentiment by hand.

• Stamp the cat image randomly on the Pumpkin Pie background using Pumpkin Pie ink.
• Adhere the Pumpkin Pie card layer to the Basic Black card layer using Tombow glue and adhere this to the Whisper White card base using dimensionals.
• Adhere sentiment to the Pumpkin Pie background and the broom to the witch using dimensionals.
• Enjoy!
