Its All in a Name, Name Frame that is!

I have had this frame for some time and just haven't had time to make this name frame for a friend of mine. They just built a new house and I think that this "HOME" frame will be a nice house warming present.

I used Stampin' Up Outlaw DS Paper, Star punches and the Love & Happiness Rub Ons. You really can't see where I used the rub ons, but I wanted to try them out. There are 4 colors to choose from in the package of rub-ons that got from Stampin' Up. I selected the chocolate chip swirl. The rub-ons were one of my free selections in the Sale-A-Bration mini catolog. It wasn't that hard to use and I am looking forward to using them again. I also used SU gold and Purely Pomegranate cardstock to embellish the Home letters.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! We're in for a warm up finally, might get to be 30 degrees by Sunday!!

Happy Everything!

I got to play with my new stamp set from Stampin' Up last night and came up with two new Birthday cards. I was checking my card supply and see that I need to make some cards for the birthdays that are coming up.

I just got the stamp set Happy Everything. This first card I used Stampin Up Cardstock, Taken with Teal, Cameo Coral and Tempting Turquoise. The presents are from the stamp set Framed Greetings. This card will make a nice card for any age.

I wanted a more grown-up look for this birthday card. I again used Happy Everything stamp set, but added the scallop flower from In the Spotlight and then punched it out with my SU Scallop Punch; for the background I used my new Polka Dot. I didn't think that the Polka Dot background would get alot of use, but I was most definitely wrong. I have used it quite a bit and am very happy with the results. Its not a bold dot pattern, more of a shaded dot. The card stock is the In-Color Groovy Gauva and Very Vanilla. I used Creamy Carmel for the background and Blue Bayou Ink for the flower scallop. The double stitched ribbon is Blue Bayou. This card is very pretty in real life, the digital picture just doesn't do it justice.

On this card, notice my knot--I have been practicing Kelly, and I think that I may have FINALLY gotten it!! Its been a long standing joke between me and a friend of mine. She usually volunteers to tie the knots for my cards because she knows that I am knot tieing impaired. Well fear not--I am getting better!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my cards.

Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday

What better way to spend a Saturday but by stamping!!

I went to a Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday, actually I helped my upline, Kelly. We held a Stamp-A-Stack at our township's townhall. Its a older building, but has been remodeled and works out just great for our stamping projects.

She had some wonderful cards for us to make and what a wonderful variety. From using the Cuttlebug to Embossing! It was a great time and a pretty good turnout. Because I was the "helper", I ended up getting 3 new stamp sets from Stampin' Up!! How cool is that!! It was just a simple gathering at our township's town hall but it works out just great, with lots of room for 4 workstations. Here is a picture of the cards that we made.

I also made a sympathy card for a friend of ours. Stampin' Up's stampset "Lovely as a Tree" makes some truely special cards. I stamped the trees on Whisper White and embossed in black, then I sponged Bordering Blue ink for the sky. Tied Silver Cord around the top and mounted it on black to make the oval stand out. I think it turned out very nice.

If you click on the individual photos, you can see the cards alittle closer. Thanks for stopping by.
