Kit Class "Extra" Cards!

As if making 15 cards in one evening wasn't enough, we decided for those who wanted to participate, we would all bring a card to share.  It was so much fun for me to see what the ladies would come up with and I enjoyed it so much.  What great cards we made!!

Here is a card that our Elizabeth shared, not only a really cute card but a new technique!!  What to see what I will be doing with the "Bubbles Background" in the months to come!

Next we made another great card by Renee, which I think I can make into a technique class!!  How about a DSP No Stamping card?  What a fun card this was.
And here is the inside of the card, the inside was also a sheet of DSP and we stamped the sentiment and attached a verse that Renee supplied for us.

And the last card that we made, was a card that I came up with.  We stamped the background using the Paper Pumpkin stamp set in Melon Mambo and added a tag for the sentiment.
The cards were all great and I look forward to see what one of us will come up with.  We will be having an extra card next month, but only one of us will design it!  I will let you know who is picked.  For now, this was a great class and I am so proud of everyone that attended!  Stamping at it's finest.

Take care,
Cindy

May Kit Card Class - Can You Say Fabulous!

This past Wednesday was our monthly Kit Class, we had a wonderful class with seven ladies attending.  We had so much fun making the following cards and sharing a great evening together.

Let's get started, here are the cards!!

Here is a masculine card that is just perfect for the hunter.
Stamp Sets:  Work of Art, Wetlands, The Wilderness Awaits
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Island Indigo, Always Artichoke
Paper:  Sahara Sand Base, Whisper White Layer
Accessories: Burlap Ribbon, Candy Dot
What this card so great is that we "stamped off" our color so that our elk came through.  This is a great way to NOT have to spend coloring in the image.  We stamped our greeting right on the ribbon and attached it with adhesive and added a candy dot.  Love this card!!

Here is our next card, I called Rainbow Wishes:
Stamp Set:  Over the Rainbow
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Mambo Melon, Pacific Point
Paper: Pacific Point Base, Whisper White Layer, Gold Foil Cardstock for the stars.
Accessories:  Star Confetti Punch, Markers
Even though this card did require some coloring, the rainbow was stamped in different colors and just made the card. The Whisper White piece is folded at the top and is 4x10 1/2 and is adhered to a 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Pacific Point cardstock.  I am so glad that this stamp set is not retiring as it has so much potential and I have to admit I have not used it enough!

This lovely summer card is just what you will need when you need a simple card that can be used for so many occasions, making it a true All Occasion card when you don't know what to say.

Stamp Set:  Wild About Flowers
Ink: Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive
Paper:  Crumb Cake Base, Tangerine Tango Layer, Whisper White, Old Olive Layer
Accessories:  Silver Ribbon
The great thing about the Wild About Flowers Stamp set is that the flower stamps and matching flowers are numbered and notched which makes lining up the flowers a snap!  There are three different flower sets in this stamp set.  Love it!!

Class would not have been complete without a great birthday card!

Stamp Set: Tin of Cards
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Lost Lagoon Base, Flower Petals Designer Series Paper Layer, Hello Honey, Watermelon, Whisper White
Accessories:  Sunburst Thinlet, Dimensions, 2" Punch, 1 3/4" Punch
The Sunburst Thinlet made this card!  What a fun way to add some pop with your Designer Series Paper peeking through.  This card went together pretty fast, see the trend of this class; Easy but Pretty!

When you need a card to just say "Hello You!  this card fits the bill.  Sometimes you just need to say hello to someone to let them know that you are thinking of them.
Stamp Set: Crazy About You
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Memento Black
Paper: Bermuda Bay Base, Botanical Blooms Designer Series Paper Layer, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Hello Honey Layer
Accessories:  Botanical Builder Framelit, Dimensions, Modern Label Punch, Chevron Punch
I love the Botanical Builder Framelit and so glad that it is being carried over to the new catalog but also so sad to be using the Modern Label Punch and Chevron Punch.  They had become my go to punches but I ALSO look forward to what I can come up with using the new punches that are coming our way on June 1st!!

There you have it!  Because we LOVE to stamp, we decided that whoever wanted to participate to make one more card!  But here was the twist, I did not design them, my ladies did!  It was so much to see what they came up with and I will share them with you in my next post.  The cards were fantastic!
