November Technique Class - Eclipse Technique

Hello everyone, I have a great technique to share with you today, it is called the Eclipse Technique and it was a hit this last week with the stamping ladies!!  Such an easy technique, you can for sure give it a try at home!

The Eclipse Technique is very popular right now. It is a great way to create a 3D effect that is so easy! After stamping your design, any die cut will do for this technique but the Large Letters Framelits is perfect and that is what we used.  They are located on page 215 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  Now don't let the price scare you, if you wait until Sale a Bration, you can get a couple of free stamp sets!!

To pop up the letters we used the Stampin' Up! Foam Adhesive strips (page 203 Annual Catalog).  A good tip is to layer the letters on top of dark cardstock in order to get the shadow effect. With these letters any four letter work is going to work.  So we started thinking of words; Hugs, Deck, Boy, Girl, Love, Fall, Hope, Dad, Mom, Grad, Faith and Baby.  Wow!  I will be able to come with cards using this technique all year!

Stamp Set:  Christmas Happiness
Ink:  Real Red, Black, Old Olive
Paper:  Real Red Base, Old Olive Layer, Whisper White, Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Real Red Think Ribbon, Glue Dots, Foam Adhesive Strips, Large Letters Framelits

Card #3 - Fancy Fold - Double Front Fold

Ink:  Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Cajun Craze Base, Very Vanilla Inside Card, Painted Autumn DSP
