December Stamp of the Month - Young at Heart

Our December Stamp of the Month, Young at Heart is such a fun stamp set and I was so glad that it was selected. It's fun and versatile and I just bet anyone can find a use for this great set. You know you can get involved with the Stamp of the Month, just pop me a message and I will get you into the loop.  When you join the Stamp of the Month Club, you will receive the stamp set that is selected to be the Stamp of the Month plus everything that you need to make four cards using your new stamp set.  All you need to add is ink and adhesive.  The cost of this is only $24 for the stamp set and cards, or if you already own the stamp set, the cards are just $5.  If you are out of my Central Wisconsin, you must also add postage for the cards to be sent to you.

Spotlight Stamper - Bernice Seidl

I have a lot of cards to share with you today, when we got together for our December Technique Class, Bernie had cards to share!!  She has been busy, but that is nothing new; she tells me that it is not uncommon for her to stay up late to make cards and enjoy the quiet.

Here are her cards using the Toile Christmas Stamp Set paired with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. December Technique Class Cards - DIY Embossing Folder

The technique for December was a lot of fun and so easy, the possibilities are endless!  I called it Do It Yourself Embossing Folder.  You can create your own Embossing Folders with Punches and the Cardboard from Designer Series Paper.  Punch out the chosen shape and using liquid adhesive, glue at least 3 shapes to create a raised surface. Then run it through the Big Shot, choosing one or two cardboard shims to give it a deep enough impression.

Guest Stamper Thursday - Bev Boon

That's right, I have a new guest stamper today.  Bev Boon has been a stamper for a while, and a very busy person.  She still found time to make these beautiful Christmas cards. She told me that she made 146 Christmas cards.  Here are just a few of them, aren't they beautiful?!

Cutting & Scoring:

• Whisper White Thick Cardstock 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2”; 5” x 3-3/4”
• Basic Black cardstock 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”
• Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper 1 piece 5-1/14” x 4”, 1 piece 3” x 4”
• Scrap of Petal Pink for sentiment

Instructions:

• Fold Whisper White Thick cardstock on the score line.
• Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach 5-1/14” x 4” piece of Designer Series Paper to the Whisper White Thick card base, and attach the 3”x4” piece of Designer Series Paper to the Basic Black piece of cardstock.
• Stamp sentiment onto scrap piece of Petal Pink Card Stock and punch out the sentiment with the Timeless Label Punch.
• Wrap Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the Designer Series Paper and Basic Black layer and tie a bow. Trim ends at an angle.
• Adhere the Basic Black layered piece to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the Basic Black layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Christmas Rose for Your Birthday

The Christmas Rose stamp set with the coordinating Rose Dies are not just for Christmas, I plan to use this great set for a lot more!!  Enjoy my Virtual Swap Card.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – Christmas Rose (152431), Here's a Card (149438)
• PAPER – Soft Seafoam (146988), Christmas is Here Designer Series Paper (DSP)(152154), Whisper White (100730), Early Espresso (119686)
• INK – Early Espresso (147114)
• OTHER – Rose Die (152144), Gold Shimmer Ribbon (152156), Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Soft Seafoam 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Christmas is Here (DSP) 4” x 5-1/4” and Rose

• Early Espresso & Whisper White scraps

Instructions:

• Die cut the Rose from the Christmas is Here DSP in the Big Shot.
• Adhere the Christmas is Here Layer to the front of the card base.
• Die cut the Early Espresso scallop with the Die Cut in the Rose Dies, adhere to the front of the card.
• Adhere the Rose to the front of the card over the scallop using Dimensionals.
• Die cut the Greeting tag with the Die Cut in the Rose Dies, stamp Happy Birthday in Early Espresso. Adhere to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
• Stamp a Birthday verse on the inside of the card, decorate the inside to finish the card.
• Enjoy!
