Weekly Tip - Save Those Label Sheets!

I was able to do my Weekly Tip Video, I really didn't think that I would be able to as I have been so busy in the woods gathering maple sap. My husband makes maple syrup and enlists the help of all of us this time of year. I was so glad to have a day off that I thought, YES!! I can do my video!!

Stampin' Up! has changed the stickers that come with the red rubber stamps, they are very sticky and work great to keep the stamp on the acryllic block. But what to do with the left over sticker sheet once you have your stickers attached to the stamps?!!  Watch my video and I will show what I am doing, and it works great!!

Spotlight Stamper - Arlys Knoop

My Spotlight Stamper today is Arlys Knoop.  A couple of days ago, she posted pictures of her stamping that she had done. I thought that they were just lovely and just wanted to share them with all of you. Arlys has been one of my original stampers from the beginning nine years ago. We have been stamping together all that time and I am just thrilled that she decided all those years ago to approach me and ask me to host a stamping class for herself and some of her friends.  Thanks for sharing Arlys!!

Arlys made some Frog cards using the Sale a Bration So Hoppy Together. Are they not just adorable?!

What do you think of these Easter Baskets?  They turned out so cute, Arlys used the Daisy Delight Stamp set and coordinating Daisy Punch. So Springy!!

• OTHER – Big Shot (143263), Vases Builder Punch (147040), Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (147923), Mini Striped Ribbon in Poppy Parade (146938), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Thick Whisper White – 11” x 4-1/4”, score and fold at 5-1/2”
• Night of Navy – 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”
• Pineapple Punch – 5-1/4” x 4”
• Poppy Parade – 2-3/8” x 3-5/8”
• Whisper White – 2-1/4” x 3-1/2”, scrap
• Neutrals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper – scraps for vases

Instructions:

• Using the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Pineapple Punch card stock layer, run it through the Big Shot.
• Attach to the Night of Navy layer. Tie the ribbon around this layer and knot. Attach to the card base.
• Stamp the sentiment from the Vibrant Vase stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the Whisper White layer. Stamp the straight line from the stamp set in Night of Navy ink above the sentiment.
• Punch 3 different vases in the Neutrals Designer Series Paper with the Vases Builder Punch.
• Estimate where the top of the vases will be and lightly mark with a pencil.
• Using the flower bunch from the Vibrant vases stamp set, stamp the flower bunch in Night of Navy ink. Using two step stamping, stamp the inside of the flowers in Pineapple Punch. Stamp the leaves and the flower stems in Granny Apple Green.
• Attach the two outer punched vases to the Whisper White later. Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach the center vase.
• On Whisper White scrap paper, stamp 3 tulips in Poppy Parade ink. Using two step stamping, stamp the inside of the tulips with Poppy Parade ink. Using the Vases Builder Punch, punch out the tulips. Attach the tulips to the stamped stems with Mini Glue Dots.
• Attach the Whisper White layer to the Poppy Parade layer. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach to the card base.
• Enjoy!

Spotlight Stamper - Judy Vine!

Today's Spotlight Stamper is our own Judy Vine, Judy purchased the Climbing Roses Bundle, located on Page 9 of the Occasions Catalog. Not only did Judy receive the Climbing Roses stamp set but also the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies. This is a great set and I just love how Judy's cards turned out.

Making a Difference with Cards!!

I was recently approached about contributing some cards that I make to the Honor Flight for the Veterans from the area that travel via airplane to Washington D.C. The cards would be used on the way back after the airplane landed, they have a "mail call" and every veteran o the flight receives a card of some type. I knew that only one or two cards that I made would not be enough so I enlisted my stamping ladies.

I am so proud to say that they came to the rescue!!  I received cards in the mail and cards at each of my classes.  I am so proud of what we did, the cards will go to make someone happy and put a smile on their face.

Here is a photo of all of the cards that were contributed, we had 35 cards to send to the Veterans on their next Honor Flight:
