My Spotlight Stamper today is our own Bernie Seidl. Bernie has been stamping with me from the beginning, in fact, she was one of our founding Technique Class members; along with a couple others.  Using retired paper from last year that was too pretty to really retire, Bernie combined the butterflies with the Grapefruit Grove Foil Paper.

 What a beautiful Easter Card, the Butterfly Duet punch is back in stock also!!

 A lovely Sympathy Card, the two tone White on Night of Navy is lovely.

My Featured Spotlight Stamper - Judy Vine

April Technique - Tone on Tone

The April Technique Class met this last week, the technique was called Tone on Tone. It was one of the best techniques that we have done in a while.

Tone on Tone stamping is creating a great background using Ink and Embossing Folders and Cardstock. The Tone on Tone part is that the Ink and the Cardstock is the same color. To achieve this, all that you have to do is rub is ink from your ink pad onto the embossing folder that has the SU Logo on the front, place your cardstock in the folder and run through your Big Shot.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Crumb Cake - 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
• Whisper White Scrap for die cutting
• 4 x 5 ¼ Mossy Meadow
• 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” Floral Romance Printed Paper

Instructions:

• Fold Crumb Cake card and adhere Mossy Meadow and Printed Paper Panels.
• Cut a 4” strip of ribbon and adhere a strip going across the bottom as shown.
• Stamp Plant and color with Blends as shown. Die cut with coordinating rectangle.
• Pop up onto card over ribbon.

Weekly Tip - Ribbons!

This week I have more than one tip for you and it involves Ribbon!  These tips will make your card making so much easier and you will thank me!  Trust Me!

On the video below, I go through all of the time saving tips when it comes to using ribbon on your card. How to tie a Cheaters Knot for example, I found a quick and easy way to do that. How to make your ribbon lie flat on your card. Measuring the right amount of ribbon for your card and How to die white ribbon any color that you want.

I am always so happy to receive Special Thank You's from my customers, in fact, I can't think of anything better!!

I want to share with you two Special Thank You's that I received this past week.

The first card comes from Roni Kaczor Smith, I loved her card and how she used the Apron Builder Framelits. This just makes the card so much more special and a great way to use those scraps of Designer Series Paper.

 The second Special Thank You that I received came from Deb Vine. Deb choose the Accented Blooms stamp set with the matching punch to make this special card. I think it is just beautiful.
