Spotlight Stamper - Deb Vine!!

My Spotlight Stamper today is Deb Vine. Deb always surprises me with cards that she has been making when she comes to Technique Class. Her cards are always so lovely and this time was no exception. 

Here is a great way to use two different stamp sets: So Hoppy Together (Sale a Bration) and the Half Full stamp set from the Annual Catalog. I would have never put the two together but these are just great!!!

 

The next card that she shared with me was a Fancy Fold and the Sale a Bration stamp set Home to Roost.

 Now tell me how striking this card is!  The photo really didn't do it any justice at all! This is the Let It Ride stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.

 And last, was the Team Time Framelits with the Tea Together Stamp set.

I am part of a Virtual Swap Group, so every month I submit a card to the swapping group. I just love how well my card turned out for March, that I wanted to share it with all of you.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – Life is Grand (148744)
• PAPER – Pineapple Punch (146971), Whisper White (100730), Calypso Coral (122925), Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper (DSP) (148795)
• INK – Night of Navy (126970)
• OTHER – Big Shot (143263), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Rectangle Stitched Framelits (3^rd Smallest)(148551), Night of Navy Dark Blend (144039), Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon (144213)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Pineapple Punch 5 ½” x 7 ½”, scored at 3 ¼”
• Whisper White 2 ¼” x 3 ¾” (cut 2)
• Happiness Blooms DSP 2 ¼” x 5 ¼” & 3 1/8” x 5 1/8”
• Calypso Coral 3 ¼” x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

• Taking the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, color with the Night of Navy Dark Blend, let dry.
• Adhere the Happiness Blooms 3 1/8” x 5 1/8” piece to the Calypso Coral Layer.
• Adhere the Calypso Coral to the front of the Pineapple Punch card base.
• Adhere the Happiness Blooms 2 ¼” x 5 ¼” to the inside edge of the card edge.
• Taking the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, tie a Cheaters Knot and adhere both ends on the backside of the card with tape.
• Using the 3^rd smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelit, cut out 2 Whisper White rectangles.
• Stamp Hello, Dear Friend to one of the Rectangles and your inside verse to the second one.
• Adhere the Hello, Dear Friend Rectangle to the front of the card using 2 Dimensions on the Left Side. Adhere the second rectangle to the inside of the card that has the card verse stamped on it.

Weekly Tip - Pefect Punch and Stamp Alignment

When we have a stamp set with a matching punch, it can be difficult to get a good alignment so that the punch will punch out the image. This week I want to show you an easy way to get that perfect alignment. I hope that you will watch my video, even consider leaving a comment.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Sahara Sand 7-1/2” x 5-1/2” Scored at 4-1/4”, 5-1/2” x 3-1/2” Scored at 3-1/2”, Scraps
• Whisper White 5-1/4” x 4”, Scrap
• Petal Pink 5-1/4” x 3”, 3” x 3”
• Soft Sea Foam 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”
• Sparkle Glimmer Paper Scrap

Instructions:

• Run Petal Pink layer through the Big Shot with the Basket Weave embossing folder, adhere to left side of card base.
• Using Soft Seafoam ink, stamp grass along the bottom of the edge of Whisper White layer, stamp small bunny with Sahara Sand ink in the grass, stamp sentiment with Petal Pink ink.
• Adhere ink to the backside of the Sahara Sand layer, adhere behind the Whisper White inside layer.
• Stamp the bunny pieces with Sahara Sand ink on scraps, punch out using Bunny builder punch.
• Color the ears with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write marker, color the belly of the bunny with the White chalk marker.
• Punch out the tail with Sparkle Glimmer scraps, adhere to back of bunny with Mini Glue Dot.
• Run the Soft Seafoam layer through the Big Shot with the Square Stitched Shaped Framelit, adhere to Petal Pink layer with Liquid Glue.
• Wrap Petal Pink twine around layers a few times, secure to the back with scotch tape.
• Adhere Bunny with Stampin Dimensionals to front layer.
• Tie a double bow, adhere to the right side with a Mini Glue dot.
• Stamp sentiment with Sahara Sand ink on Whisper White layer, punch out with the Classic Label punch, repeat with Sahara Sand scrap.
• Cut the Sahara Sand in half, adhere white layer to each end with Liquid Glue, adhere to the front layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Adhere sequins as shown.
• Enjoy

Hopping Into Spring

I love it when people share with me what they have made or created, it isn't always about stamping either!  Whether you stamp or paper craft, when you are creating you are sharing a little bit of yourself!!

Recently my daughter-in-law asked me if I had any pretty papers that she could use. Well, of course, I have some papers, let me put something together for you!  Kristy is a 4K teacher and saw this lovely idea of making bunny rabbits to Celebrate Spring!

Here is her finished creation, she had each one of her students make a bunny and they attached it to the board for everyone to see and admire!

This is a perfect example that it doesn't matter how old you are, anyone can create!  Have a lovely day and let's Hop Into Spring!!

Today's Spotlight Stamper - Janet Forton!

My Spotlight Stamper is my good friend, Janet Forton. Jan and I go way back, like about forty years back!  Wow!!  Jan and I started out as roommates in college one year and have tried to stay in touch all of these years. Jan has been a Stampin' Up! Stamper for quite a few years and it shows, don't you think?!

Jan is always sending me card ideas, either by email or snail mail!  So last month, I sent her all of the ingredients to make this great birthday card. We had made it in Technique Class using the Wild Ride stamp set. Jan used the Waterfront stamp set instead and look how wonderful it turned out!
