May Stamp of the Month - Butterfly Gala

The ever popular Butterfly Gala stamp set was the May Stamp of the Month. The best part is that there is a matching punch!!  It is called the Butterfly Duet Punch and it makes cutting out the butterflies so much easier!

Cutting & Scoring:

• Crushed Curry – 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
• Poppy Parade – scrap
• Whisper White – 4” x 5 1/4”
• Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper – 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” & 3/4” x 4”

Instructions:

• Add stitched swirly pattern die to 5 1/2” edge of Crushed Curry card base and run through the Big Shot several times overlapping one or two of the swirls to get the pattern across the edge straight.
• Cut 1 1/2” slit in the middle of the left side of Designer Series Paper and fold back as shown - adhere to Crushed Curry card front.
• Use Embossing Buddy on scrap of Poppy Parade - stamp FRIEND with VersaMark Ink and emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Heat Tool.
• Run embossing layer through Big Shot with dotted cloud shape and then punch out with Pretty Label Punch.
• Attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add an Old Olive Linen Thread triple bow with Mini Glue Dot.
• Stamp PEOPLE LIKE YOU… greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on 4” x 5 1/4” Whisper White layer and then stamp three little butterflies with Poppy Parade ink near the greeting. Add 3/4” x 4” strip of Designer Series Paper to bottom of the layer and adhere to inside of card.

Remembering Oh So Eclectic

When this stamp set first came out, it was one of the most popular stamp sets and also had matching Framelits that were all the rage.  What made it even more popular is that it had matching Designer Series Paper. It looks like it has been around since 2017, which isn't very long for a great set like this!

I used this stamp set in a couple of Technique Classes, I think that I should have used it more!!

Rememberin Swirly Bird

I have been having a lot of fun looking back through at cards that we made using stamp sets that are now, sadly, retiring.  The Swirly Bird stamp may look like a bunch of circles and triangles but what it really is fun!!  The Swirly Bird stamp set also coordinates with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and has been around since June, 2016.
