Spotlight Stamper - Arlys Knoop

I have a new Spotlight Stamper today, my friend, Arlys Knoop. Arlys has been stamping with me since day 1; in fact it was Arlys came to me and asked me if I could teach her and a few of her friends some stamping techniques.  That was ten years ago and I sometimes think, where did those ten years go?!

Here are her cards, the first is a shadow box using the Painted Poppies suite. Wow!

Kit Card Class

Here are the details for my next class:

Tuesday,

March 31, 2020

Starting about 5:00 PM

I am posting the cards that are available for you to make, you will choose 5 cards. I will carry over 2 cards from these 7 for next month.  The pictures of the cards will be listed at the end of this post, if you want the cards to be a surprise don't scroll all the way down.

You can make any 5 designs and the 2 additional cards will carry forward to the next month; It will be easier to make only 5 designs but if you wanted to make the 7 cards you could.

5 Cards - $7.00

10 Cards - $12.00

15 Cards - $17.00

Or the Class can be FREE with a $20 Stampin' Up! Order

Remember, you can also come a little early or a little late, we just want to be done by 8:00 p.m. I usually get to Schmittys about 4 and have everything set up by 4:30.

Schmitty’s On Main, Right across from the gazebo, go in Schmitty’s door, take a left and go down the stairs to the banquet room. Not hard to find at all

This class is also available as a Class to Go! And comes with instructions, you use your own stamps, ink, folders and dies.

So check your calendars and if this is something that might be of interest to you, let me know.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – Under My Umbrella Bundle (153786) bundle includes the Under My Umbrella stamp set and the Umbrella Builder Punch
• PAPER –Whisper White (100730), Pool Party (122924), Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (DSP) (153558), Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (149612)
• INK – Pool Party (147107), StazOn Jet Black (101406)
• OTHER –Aqua Painter (103954), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430),

Cutting & Scoring:

• Pool Party – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ½,
• Watercolor Paper - 4” x 5 ¼”
• DSP – Umbrella pattern for punching

Instructions:.

• Squish Pool Party ink pad to get ink in the empty area of the pad, use an Aqua Painter and add a couple of drops of water, swirl it around to paint a background on the Watercolor Paper.
• Allow to dry naturally or use Heat Tool.
• Stamp sentiment and umbrella handles where shown using StazOn ink.
• Crop umbrella images from the Pleased as Punch DSP and add over the handles with dimensionals.
• Add layer to card base.

Spotlight Stamper Featuring Janet Forton!

My Spotlight Stamper today is our own Janet Forton. Janet has been a stamper for quite a few years, in fact, I did not even know that we were both stampers for the same company until we got to talking a few years ago. See, I have known Janet for all of 40 years! We met in college and were roommates.

Here are two cards that Janet featured at her own Stampin' Up! Open House:
Card #1 - Featuring the Word Wishes Dies
These little known word dies are so handy to have. What a pretty card paired with the Painted Poppies Designer Series Paper.

Here is the inside of the card, don't you like how Janet decorated her card?!

Here is the second card that Janet designed for her Open House. It features the Mountain Air Stamp Set and the Waterfront stamp set, paired with the Country Club Designer Series Paper.

Spring is in the Air!

I have been busy working on Spring Cards!!  That includes Mother's Day and Easter Cards.  The new stamp sets that Stampin' Up! has in the Occasions Mini Catalog has everything that I need! Lets look at the Easter Cards first!

These cards are one design and use the Timeless Tulip stamp set and Tulip Builder Punch to make the cards. Paired with the awesome Designer Series Paper Lily Impressions. I love this paper so much and figured it would be a great paired with the Timeless Tulip set and I was right!

 Here are the other colors that I used. The color ink used was Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Melon Mambo. When you add a little Wink of Stella, well what can I say?!
