Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Debbie Vine

Facebook Live Replay - A Grand Kid

This week our featured stamp set is A Grand Kid from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. You don't even need grandkids in order to use this set as there is a Congratulations and Happy Birthday that can be use for anyone.

Here is a closeup of the card that we made last night. Not only did I combine the Window Card Technique but also added the Faux Embossing. I can't wait to make more cards using the Faux Embossing. Watch the video for all of the details.

Wednesday Wow - Forever Fern Friendship

  • INK – Crumb Cake (147116), Soft Suede (147115), Early Espresso (147114), Pear Pizzazz (147104), Just Jade (153115), Pretty Peacock (150083)
  • OTHER – Tasteful Labels Dies (152886), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Seal+ (149699), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Linen Thread (104199), Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (152475), Painted Labels Dies (151605), Clear Block D (118485), Simply Shammy (147042), Paper Trimmer (152392), Die Cutting Machine
Cutting & Scoring:
  • Just Jade 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
  • Whisper White 4” x 5-1/4” plus a scrap piece
  • Mint Macaron scrap
  • Garden Green scrap
  • Silver Foil Sheet scrap
  • Ribbon 9”
  • Linen Thread 9”

Instructions:
  • Start with the largest Whisper White piece, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso ink pads. Lightly drag Crumb Cake down the cardstock from the top to the bottom, creating light and dark sections of color. Do the same process with Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink pads, overlapping each other to create “slats.” Set this piece aside to dry.
  • Die cut the larger circle and the longest label from the Tasteful Labels Dies, using Whisper White scrap.
  • Die cut the swirly circle from the Painted Labels Dies using Silver Foil scrap.
  • Die cut the leaves from the Forever Flourishing Dies using Mint Macaron and Garden Green scraps.
  • Stamp various leaf images using Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade, and Pretty Peacock ink pads on the diecut label.
  • Stamp the sentiment and splatter image using Early Espresso and Just Jade ink pads.
  • Adhere the die cut leaves using Stampin’ Seal+.
  • Adhere the stamped label on top of the leaves using Stampin’ Seal+.
  • Adhere the silver circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere the sentiment piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tie a bow with the piece of ribbon, and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Tie a bow with the piece of Linen Thread, and adhere it with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Attach this entire piece to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

July Technique Class - Window Card

Our Technique Class for July was last week and what a good time did we have making Window Cards.  The "window" is actually the look of a window and gives your cards dimension.  By cutting out a window in your card base using Dies or Punches; make it pop by adding dimensions. Further dress it up by adding a frame. It is just another way of making a simple card look even more great!

Card #1 - Always
STAMP SETS:  Field of Flowers, Lovely You
INK: Memento Black, Magenta Madness
PAPER: Just Jade Base, Bumble Bee Layer, Whisper White, Flowers for Every Season
ACCESSORIES: Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Dimensions, Many Layered Blossoms Dies

Card #2 - To a Friend
STAMP SETS: Forever Fern
INK: Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight
PAPER: Cinnamon Cider Base, Misty Moonlight Layer, Whisper White, Cajun Craze Scrap

Cutting & Scoring:
  • Cinnamon Cider 5 ½” x 8 ½”, Scored at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White 2” x 4 ¼”
  • Cajun Craze 2 ¼” x 4 ½”
  • Calypso Coral 4” x 5 ¼”
Instructions:
  • Taking the Ornate Borders Dies, lay on the right edge of the Calypso Coral Layer and run through the die cutting machine. Adhere to the Cinnamon Cider Card Base.
  • Using the Scripty Embossing Folder, run the Cajun Craze piece through the die cutting machine and adhere off center to the Calypso Coral layer.
  • Stamp the Jar, Flowers and Flower Stems to the Whisper White piece and color with the Stampin' Blends.
  • Cut a piece of Flowers for Every Season
  • Apply Dimensionals to the Whisper White piece and adhere to the front of the card.
  • Apply two sequins to the front of the card from the Artistry Blooms Calypso Coral Sequins.
  • Enjoy!
