Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Bernie Seidel

 My Saturday Spotlight Stamper today is Bernie Seidl, one of my stamping ladies and friends. Bernie has been a stamper for quite some time and her ideas are always spot on and so thoughtful!

 As we get closer to the Autumn and Christmas card giving season, I hope that you can get some inspiration from Bernie's cards.

The stamp sets used on the cards above are the Snow Wonder, Peaceful Boughs and Gather Together.

The Shaker cards are very popular and uses the Still Scenes stamp set on Page 58. I think that the Poinsettia set from the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog will be a big hit.  The cardinal can be found on page 60, Toille Christmas.

Facebook Live Replay - Autumn Wishes

 This week my featured stamp set for our weekly Facebook Live was Gather Together. This set is a real favorite of mine with the maple leaf and coordinating die to cut it out. I just love it, there are so many possibilities with this stamp set, you can color the leaves if you like or not. 
Here is a closeup of the card that I made, I used a little bit different approach for the card base. Watch my video and see what I mean.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies: 

• STAMPS – Beautiful Autumn (153450), Best Year (152568)

• PAPER – Early Espresso (119686), Cajun Craze (119684), Very Vanilla (101650), Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (153520)

• INK – Early Espresso (147114), Mint Macaron (147106)

• OTHER –Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690), Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (153553), Gilded Gems (152478), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Mini Glue Dots, (103683

Cutting & Scoring:  

• Early Espresso – 4-1/4” X 8-1/2” (scored at 5-1/2”)

• Very Vanilla - 4” x 2-1/2”, scrap for label

• Cajun Craze – scrap for label

• Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP – 2 @ 2-3/4” x 4”

Instructions:

• Fold and burnish the Early Espresso card base on the score line.

• Using a die cutting machine, cut out the large label from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies from Cajun Craze cardstock and the smaller label from Very Vanilla cardstock.

• Stamp the greeting in Early Espresso ink on the Very Vanilla label and then stamp the stem of leaves using Mint Macaron ink.

• Adhere the small label to the larger label.

• Stamp a greeting in Early Espresso ink on the Very Vanilla layer and stamp another stem of leaves in Mint Macaron ink.

• Adhere the leaf patterned DSP to the front of the card base and the striped DSP on the right side of the inside of the card.

• Adhere the Very Vanilla stamped inside layer to the left of the DSP.

• Adhere the greeting label to the left side of the front of the card.

• Tie a bow with the Metallic ribbon from the combo pack and adhere to the card with a mini glue dot.

• Add some of the Gilded Gems to the front of the card.

My August Swap Card - Autumn Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• PAPER – Early Espresso (119686), Very Vanilla (101650), Whisper White (100730)

• INK – Early Espresso (147114), Crumb Cake (147116)

• OTHER – Gathered Leaves Dies (150662), Artistry Blooms Sequins (152477), Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Up! Blends Cajun Craze (154879), Mango Melody (154888), Cherry Cobbler (154880) and Soft Suede (154906)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Early Espresso 4 ¼ “ x 5 ½ “

• Very Vanilla 5 ¼ “ x 8”, scored at 4”

• Whisper White 3” x 8”

Instructions:

• Stamp the Maple Leaves and then Die cut the Leaves using Gathered Leaves Die.

• Color the Leaves with Stampin' Up! Blends, one leaf in Cherry Cobbler, one in Cajun Craze, one in Mango Melody. Highlight the leaves with Soft Suede.

• Stamp “Wishing You Well” in Early Espresso in the lower left corner.

• Adhere three Calypso Coral Sequins randomly to the front of the card.

• Stamp a verse on the inside of the card to finish the card.

• Enjoy!
