Spotlight Saturday Stamper - Debbie Vine

Facebook Live Replay - Love of Leaves

 Even though we had some technical issues (some caused by the weather and the big one caused by me), everyone still got to enjoy the making of a great fall card. The Love of Leaves stamp set not only made the August Stamp of the Month, but it was my featured stamp set for this week.

Here is a closeup of the card, I thought it turned out great!!

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET: Love of Leaves

INK: Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Bumble Bee, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede

PAPER: Blackberry Bliss Base 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"; Bumble Bee Layer 4 x 5 1/4", Whisper White Inside and 3 3/4" x 5"

ACCESSORIES: Stitched Leaves Dies, Stitched so Sweetly Dies, Dimensionals, Braided Burlap Trip 6"

Cutting & Scoring:

• Misty Moonlight – 5 1/4” x 5 1/2”

• Whisper White – 3 3/4” x 3” & 4” x 5 1/4” & scrap

• Bumblebee - 4” x 4”

• Flowers for Every Season 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper - 2 @ 1” x 4”

Instructions:

• Score Misty Moonlight layer at 4 1/4” on the 5 1/4” side in Paper Trimmer. Fold and tie ribbon to top panel.

• Stamp sentiment with Misty Moonlight ink on small Whisper White layer. Add to bottom of Bumblebee layer and adhere to back of front panel.

• Stamp sunflowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White scrap. Color with Stampin’ Blend Markers and die cut. Add to small Whisper White layer where shown with the middle flower popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish layer with Misty Moonlight enamel dots.

• Stamp sentiment of choice with Misty Moonlight ink on large Whisper White layer, add DSP strips to outside edges and add to inside.

Andi's Creations!

 Last weekend, I had the pleasure of watching my grands, and Andi's choice of "what are we going to do?" is STAMP!! So into grandma's stamping room, and I let her decide which stamps we would use. Even though both of her choices were using retired Stampin' Up! stamps, the stamps were classics.  We enjoyed making both of these cards.

August Technique Cards

The technique for the August Technique Class that was held just this last week was called Faux Embossing. This technique was a game changer in my book! The best part is that it is a fun and easy technique.  You are not really using embossing powder nor a heat gun, but rather the embossing part is the cardstock color of your choice.

On the piece of scrap cardstock, adhere a piece of clear packing tape; on the other side adhere a strip of adhesive strip. Select a word die of your choice and place on the packing tape side of the cardstock, next run it through your die cutting machine. Peel off the adhesive strip and apply to your card. That's it!!  How easy was that?!!
