Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Katelynn

Our Saturday Spotlight Stamper today is Katelynn, she is the granddaughter of our own Judy Vine. They have found that they share a love for paper crafting, which I think is a great thing!

Katelynn likes to make the Fancy Folds and this particular fold is the Flap Fold. I like them!

Case It!

Enjoy some Stamping Information from Stampin' Up!

Just CASE It
To CASE (Copy and Share Everything) is something nearly every experienced papercrafter does on a regular basis. You see a card in a catalog, for instance, focus on something you like about it, then re-create it with your own spin.
You can add layers or simplify the project, but the main point is to enjoy being inspired by the work of others. Our minds start working when we study and learn from a project someone else has made.
So pick up the catalog and look through the pages until you find something that really makes you want to pull out all your crafting supplies and start working. Copy the project, then use the following ideas to make it your own:
  1. Copy the layout.
  2. Copy the color scheme.
  3. Copy the technique.
Our talented artist CASEd a card from the August–December 2020 Mini Catalog to create samples for this article. Why not see what you can find in this great publication, then CASE a festive card? Whatever you do, have a fabulous time!

Weekly Facebook Live Replay - Healing Hugs

Hello Everyone, what a week it has been, and it's only Thursday!!  To recap my very frustrating week, Monday is my usual Facebook Live where I demonstrate a stamp set and create a beautiful card. Got ready to do the Facebook Live and no Live!!  No one could see me or find me on Facebook.  I was so sad and frustrated to say the least. Then on Tuesday, we got 5 1/2" of snow!  We usually don't get much for snow until the end of November!  Well that was enough for me to cancel my Kit Class and reschedule it for Wednesday night.  But then things started looking up, because I had some extra time Wednesday night, I did another Facebook Live and it worked this them.  Wow what a week!

Here is a close up of the card:

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET: Healing Hugs, So Sentimental, Here's a Card

October Technique Class Cards - Triangle Card Technique

Last week was our Technique Class and for a class that has been meeting faithfully for the past ten years!  It is always finding new techniques and this is one of them.

The Triangle Card Technique is a great way to show off your Designer Series Papers (DSP). Cut a piece of DSP at 4" x 5 1/4". Line up the DSP on your cutter, corner to corner and cut. Then put the triangles back together and line up the other side, corner to corner and cut. Place the 2 larger triangles 1 way, place the other 2 the other way. Then adhere your triangles to the front of your card.

This is a fun technique that will have you creating beautiful cards and its a good way to use your DSP.
