Stampin' Up! News - Snow Many Snowflakes

Snow Many Ways with Snowflakes
Nature has many ways of showing off her genius, and one of the most notable examples is found in the delicate patterns of snowflakes. Our concept artist decided to highlight the whimsical beauty of these fabulous ice crystals using the So Many Snowflakes Dies (item 153560), a variety of embossing folders, and subtle, pastel color combinations to create truly breathtaking cards—which can be easily adapted to suit any winter occasion.
To make the watercolor snowflake accents featured on the Happy Hanukkah and Snowflake Wishes cards, we simply applied Blushing Bride and Misty Moonlight ink to the die-cut snowflakes using Sponge Daubers (item 133773)—replicating the soft hues of a wintry, twilight sky. Our artist enhanced the texture and beauty of these cards using the Winter Snow (item 153577) and Evergreen Forest 3D (item 153576) Embossing Folders, respectively.
To create our Thank You Snow Much gift bag, we embossed Brushed Metallic Cardstock (item 153524) using the Woodland Embossing Folder (item 152881) and added peek-through snowflake die-cut pieces for extra charm. Who wouldn’t love to receive this darling gift bag, tied with a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) Metallic Mesh Ribbon (item 153550)? This project would also make the perfect host or booking gift!
How many ways can you showcase the beauty of snowflakes with your cards and 3D projects? Remember to share them in the Demonstrator Planning Place so we can all enjoy them!

Facebook Live Replay - Christmas Gleaming

This week's featured Stampin' Up! stamp set is called Christmas Gleaming.  It came out last year and was a big hit, it was so much fun using it this year with different papers for a different look. This has become a favorite set of mine because it comes with matching Ornament Punches.  Two of them to be exact!

Here is a closeup picture of the card that I made:

Project Recipe:

STAMP SETS: Christmas Gleaming

INK: Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue

PAPER: Misty Moonlight Base, Balmy Blue Layer, Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper

ACCESSORIES: Gleaming Ornament Punches, Dimensionals, Wink of Stella, Sponging

This was such a fun and easy card to make, and would be so easy to mass produce for your very own.  I hope that you will consider selecting myself as your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Here is the You Tube Video, I would be honored if you would add my channel to your line up.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video, and following me on Facebook, You Tube and my Blog.  You all mean the world to me.  Thank you and have a great Thanksgiving!!

  • Crushed Curry: 3/4" wide strip

  • Mossy Meadow: scrap

Instructions:

  • Using Sponge Daubers, make small circles of Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Crushed Curry ink randomly all over the Whisper White square (make sure that the entire layer is covered with ink) and then let the ink dry.

  • Run the texture dotted lines dies from the Stitched Leaves die through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine on the Cajun Craze layer and Adhere this layer to the card base.

  • Punch the banner on one end of the 3/4” strip of Crushed Curry and then stamp the greeting in Early Espresso ink and cut the other end of the banner.

  • Punch a maple leaf from Mossy Meadow scrap and the oak leaf from the Cajun Craze scrap.

  • Stamp the different leaves on the square that you inked with color with VersaMark ink and cover with clear embossing powder and then heat set the powder

  • Using a sponge brayer, completely cover the square with Early Espresso ink (you will need to go over it several times to completely cover the color. When you finish, rub a paper towel over the leaves to clean off any Early Espresso ink that covered them.

  • Adhere this layer to the Brushed Gold Metallic cardstock and then adhere to the card (to the left).

  • Adhere the banner near the bottom of the square and have the banner edge go to the edge of the Cajun Craze layer.

  • Add the maple leaf with a little liquid glue and then the oak leaf with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

  • Tie a small amount of the Gold Trim in a knot and fray the edges and attach to the leaves with a mini Glue Dot

  • Add about three of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in some of the Early Espresso spots of the colorful leaves layer.

  • Stamp one of the small leaves using Crushed Curry ink and dabbing a little Cajun Craze ink on the stamp onto the Very Vanilla layer and adhere to the inside of the card.

  • Enjoy!

November Technique Class Cards

Last week was our November Technique Class and what a fun class it was. The technique was called Designer Series Paper Wow with Embossing Folders.  And WOW it was!!  This technique is so easy to add that extra WOW to your cards by using Designer Series Papers and Embossing Folders. Take a piece of Designer Series Paper and running it through your Embossing Machine with an Embossing Folder. Especially when you use a 3D Embossing Folder. What a striking look!

Here are the cards:
