Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Bernie Lewis

 Today's Spotlight Stamper is Bernie Lewis, Bernie is new to our stamping group but has been stamping on her own for quite some time.  Bernie uses punched shapes and stamps to make her cards, the shapes add so much texture.

Cards by Andi!

 I thought that I had a post set up for today, but I didn't!  So in honor of Andi being with me today, I thought that I would post some cards that she made when she comes to visit. She is such a good stamper and so careful. Hard to believe that she is just 9 years old, correction 9 1/2 years old as I was informed that today is her half birthday. So in honor of Andi turning 9 1/2 years old today, here are some of her cards.  Enjoy!

The stamp sets may be retired but the Snow is Glistening is a great set for Christmas, and in any color.

This cute set is called Spirited Snowmen, it is also retired but I could not resist keeping it.  If you look closely, for these cards she tore the Whisper White cardstock to look like snow and learnt how to use Stampin' Blends.

Need a fast and easy card, combine stamps and Designer Series Paper and you have it made!  This stamp set, Snowman Season and it is still a current set.

Snow Wonder Facebook Live Replay

 I had a few technical difficulties when I did my weekly Facebook Live this week. Unbeknownst to me, there was some pausing and then I was cut off at the very end. I always watch myself on my Kindle when I am doing a Facebook Live and it appeared to be working just fine, but I was wrong. It was an overcast day and I am thinking that had something to do with it. What I want to say, don't let that stop you from watching the video, it is a great card and the video turned out pretty good.

And here is the inside of the card, do you notice that it is a gift card?!!  I turned out so nice, and it is so easy. So take your time and watch the video, you are going to be so glad that you did.

PAPER: Misty Moonlight 4 1/4" x 11, scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2", Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper 2 1/2 x 4 (Cut 3) and 1 at 4 x 5 1/4"

ACCESSORIES: Snow Time Dies, Dimensionals, 1 1/2" Circle Punch

This Gift Card Holder turned out so nice, I just love how it all went together. That is the thing with Stampin' Up!, it is so easy to coordinate the cardstock to the designer series papers.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – For Unto Us (153335) - inside

• PAPER – Mossy Meadow (133676), Real Red (102482), Whisper White (100730), Brushed Metallic Cardstock (153524), Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (153492)

• INK – Real Red (147084) - inside

• OTHER – Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Wreath Builder (152722), Joy Dies (153530), Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder (152702), Metallic Pearls (146282), Adhesive Sheets (152334), Real Red 3/8” Sheer Ribbon (153535), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995)

• 
  

Cutting & Scoring:

• Mossy Meadow: 5” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”, 3-1/2” x 4-1/4”, 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”

• Whisper White: 4” x 5-1/4”, 3-3/8” x 3-3/8”

• Brushed Metallic Gold: 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”

• Real Red: Scraps

• Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: 2 @ 4” x 1”

Instructions:

• Fold and burnish on the score line of the the larger Mossy Meadow layer.

• Stamp a greeting from the For Unto Us stamp set in Real Red ink in the center of the larger Whisper White layer.

• Adhere the Designer paper to each end of the larger Whisper White layer and then adhere to the inside of the Mossy Meadow base.

• Center the 3-1/2” x 4-1/4” layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock add some of the tear and tape to the top of this layer and fold down the 3/4" top of the card base and adhere it to the front piece.

• Using Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, emboss the Whisper White square layer.

• Die cut the leaf wreath with Mossy Meadow cardstock and the sprig wreath with the brushed metallic gold cardstock and two of the bigger flowers from the wreath set in Real Red scrap.

• Add a little bit of the Adhesive sheet to the back of a scrap of Real Red cardstock and cut out the word Joy from the Joy Dies.

• Using Multipurpose Liquid glue on the Silicone mat, use a sponge to glue the back of the Brushed Metallic Gold wreath and add to the Whisper White layer, then do the same to the Mossy Meadow wreath and add on top of the Brushed Metallic Gold layer.

• Using a Mini Glue Dot, layer the two Real Red flowers and adhere to the wreath as shown.

• Peel the backing from the word Joy and add it to the center of the card.

• Embellish the flower with the Gold Metallic Pearls

• Wrap the Sheer Real Red Ribbon around the top of the card and tie a knot. I secured my not with a glue dot to hold it in place.

• Enjoy!

Andi Says "Let's Stamp!"

 That is usually how it goes, when Andi comes over it is one of the first things she will request to do. What a great hobby we have, and have so much fun doing it also. She always tells me that everything that she knows about stamping, she learnt from me!  She is 9 and is quite the stamper!

Let's look at the cards that we made together.

We used the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Tree Punch from Stampin' Up! to make our card.

We punched our trees out from the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, wasn't that clever.
