Stampin' Up Tip - Back to Back Blooms Step It Up!

 

 

Back to Back Blooms Step It Up

CASUAL To create this lovely, heartfelt card, use a Stamparatus to line up the floral images from the Back to Back Blooms Stamp Set, then stamp them in Bumblebee and Mint Macaron ink on a Basic White Cardstock layer. (We overlapped the stamping onto the Mint Macaron Cardstock card base for some extra sophistication and prettiness!) Stamp the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White Cardstock label. Finally, adhere the label to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Done! You have an elegant thank you card ready to send in no time at all!

AVID Step up the second card by adding a lacy edge to the Basic White layer using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. This additional step takes about a minute and instantly enhances the card’s beauty. Once that’s finished, adhere fussy-cut flowers from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to the front of the card to create a gorgeous, full bouquet. A sprinkling of Opal Rounds completes the look. Tip: Use your Stamparatus to stamp the line art images first. Then, clean the stamp and position it to stamp the solid floral image. (Stamp off the solid image before stamping on the project.)

ARTFULLY AVID For our fanciest card, we fussy cut the stamped images and adhered an additional layer of Designer Series Paper to the card front. We also die cut the label using the Stitched Nested Label Dies and then—for a final touch—stamped the sentiment on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Isn’t it stunning? Sometimes the smallest details can make all the difference in your papercrafting!

Facebook Replay - Friends are Like Seashells

 This weeks Stampin' Up! stamp set that I featured on my weekly Facebook Live is called Friends are Like Seashells.  What a beautiful card I came up with and I am just sure that you will also agree.

Of course the photo does not do the card justice, but it is just beautiful.  The Shimmer Paint added to the background adds just so much to the card.  Let's check it out.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – Hydrangea Haven (154470, photopolymer) Bundle & Save 10% (156251), Get it all, Hydrangea Hill Suite (155985)

• PAPER – Basic Gray (121044), Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate (154574), Shimmery White (101910), Whisper White (100730)

• INK – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708), Highland Heather (147103), Old Olive(147090)

• OTHER – Gorgeous Grape 3/8” Sheer Ribbon (154472), Pastel Pearls (154571), Paper Trimmer (152392), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Seal (152813)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Basic Gray – 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, score and fold at 4-1/4”

• Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate – 5” x 3-3/4”

• Shimmer White – 4-1/2” x 3-1/4”

• Whisper White – 5-1/4” x 4”

• Ribbon – 14”

Instructions:

• Using the large Hydrangea stamp from Hydrangea Haven, stamp it 3 times on the Shimmery White layer with the Memento Black ink.

• Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink on the upper right of the Shimmery White layer.

• Using the Highland Heather ink, stamp the flower background off on a scrap paper, then stamp on the stamped flower image. Do this for all 3 flowers. Repeat this step for the leaves using the Old Olive ink and the leaf background stamp. Making sure you stamp off first on scrap paper.

• Using the Paper Trimmer, cut the Shimmery White layer into 3 strips that are 1-1/4” wide. Adhere to the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. Tie the Sheer Ribbon around this layer with a knot.

• Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, attach the Mercury Glass layer to the card base.

• Attach 3 Pastel Pearls to the stamped Hydrangea flowers.

• Attach the Whisper White layer to the inside of the card.

Unconventional Valentine

 When you think of Valentines, you usually think of Red and White, or Pink and White; but if your Valentine is a little boy of 7 years old, why not Misty Moonlight and Bumble Bee?!

My card today is for my grandson, and I decided that the unconventional colors were in order for this special little boy.  The serious one that is usually deep in thought but he is as sweet as can be.

Here is the card that I came up with for my Easton.

Treasures of Life

 I found out something nine years, almost ten years ago, I became a grandma then and I really didn't know what to expect.  But it was love at first sight!  Our little Andi has been such a joy and then when her brother, Easton joined her seven years ago, oh boy did we start having fun then!!  

When the Treasures of Life stamp set came out, something tugged at me and I just had to have it.  Now I know that not everyone is a grandparent but surely you know enough who are. Why not surprise them with a beautiful card.

Hey Birthday Chick!

 A couple of years ago during Sale a Bration, Stampin' Up! introduced us to the Hey Chick stamp set that we could earn for Free!  It was such a hit that it quickly sold out. Well fast forward to 2021 and Stampin' Up! has not only brought back the Hey Chick stamp set but also a new one. Let me introduce you to Hey Birthday Chick!!  This new stamp set can be found on page  of the January-June Mini Catalog, but wait there is more!!  Starting in February you can bundle this stamp set and order the matching dies, AND the Hey Chick with matching dies are also available.  How cool is that?!

For your stamping pleasure, here are two cards that I made using the Hey Birthday Chick.

What do you think of my dancing hens?  This card turned out so cute, and its a great way to use some Designer Series Paper.

Because I love this set so much, I wanted to share with you what the actual stamp set looks like so that you can decide for yourself.
