Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Deb Vine

 This week my Saturday Spotlight Stamper is Deb Vine, and what a collection of cards she had to share with me.  Deb used a variety of elements on her cards, let's see what she did.

The first card uses the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper to show off her pretty layout of flowers.

What better way to show off and use up Designer Series Paper but with our next card. It also uses the Tasteful Touches stamp set found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog on Page 124.

I just loved this card, Deb used the stamp set Arrange a Wreath with the matching Wreath Builder Dies.You can find this very versatile set on Page 127 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

What a beautiful Easter card, the doily is such a beautiful addition.

Facebook Live Replay Thursday - Butterfly Brilliance

 This weeks Facebook Live focused on the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! which is not only beautiful but will be a wonderful addition to your collection.  The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set has matching Dies called Brilliance Wings Dies AND as if that is not enough there is also matching Designer Series Paper called Butterfly Bijou papers.  I will post pictures of the new set that will also be in the next Annual Catalog that is coming in May.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Magenta Madness 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” (see below for scoring and cutting information)

• Basic White 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” (cutting below), 2 @ 1-1/8” x 3-1/8”, 5-1/4” x 3” (inside), scraps big enough for the two Kangaroos

• Flowers for Every Season DSP 2 @ 1” x 3”, 3/4" x 5-1/4”, 1/2” x 5-1/4” (inside)

To make the center step of the Magenta Madness card base, follow these instructions for cutting & scoring:

On the 5-1/2” side, cut 1-1/4” from each end from 1” to 5-1/4” and then

On the 8-1/2” side, score up to the cut line at 1”, 2”, and 5-1/4” on each end and score

between the cut lines at 4-1/4”

To cut the Basic White layer to fit on the front of the center step card, follow these instructions for cutting:

On the 5-3/8” side line up the right edge at 1-1/4” and cut down to 3-1/4”, then rotate

counter clockwise and line up the right edge at 7/8” and cut down to 1-1/4”. Repeat this

on the left edge.

Instructions:

• Fold the Magenta Madness so that it is a mountain fold at the fold between the two cut lines, also at 5-1/4” and 1” and a valley fold at 2” to form your center step card.

• Adhere the two 1” wide strips of DSP to the two 1-1/8” wide layers of Basic White and then adhere to the center step card on the outer edge of the card using Liquid Glue

• Stamp the greeting using Magenta Madness ink in the upper left hand corner of the center layer that you cut by instructions above.

• Adhere the 3/4" wide strip of DSP to the bottom of the center Basic White layer and then adhere this layer to the center section of the card using Liquid Glue.

• Stamp the large kangaroo and the joey on a scrap of Basic White and color using Stampin’ Blends (I used the light Flirty Flamingo for the ears and nose of each and Dark Crumb Cake for the large kangaroo and Light Crumb Cake for the joey.

• Cut out with the coordinating dies along with the piece to attach to the joey to add in the pouch of the large kangaroo.

• Using Glue dots, attach the joey to the little piece of Basic White and then tuck into the pouch of the Kangaroo and adhere the two to the center section of the step card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Tie a small bow with the Blushing Bride twine and add to the joey.

• Adhere several of the pink colored sequins as shown.

• Adhere the 1/2” wide strip of the DSP to the Basic White inside layer and adhere to the inside of the center step card.

• Enjoy!

Treasures of Life

Treasures of Life is a fitting stamp set name but it also could be the name I like to be "Treasures of My Life" and a title that I am very proud of.  The stamp set Treasures of Life is one of the newest sets in the series that Stampin' Up! is offering that follows the different stages of our life.  Until I became a grandma nine years ago, I really didn't know or appreciate what a treasure being a grandma would be.

So let's look at the cards that I created to celebrate this special stamp set. The stamp set Treasures of Life can be located in the January-June Mini Catalog on page 71. Do you have special Treasures of Life in your life? Or know a grandparent? Then you need this set.

Card #1 - Little Treasures

February Stamp of the Month - Dragonfly Gardens

 The February Stamp of the Month, as voted for by you ended up being Dragonfly Gardens.  I couldn't wait to take a shot at designing some beautiful cards using this stamp set and coordinating punch.  This set also has some matching Designer Series Papers that really will make your cards "pop".
