Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Terry Lockett Law

I have a new Spotlight Stamper today, she is a lovely lady that I met through Facebook. We have become friends and share a passion for stamping and creating with paper.  I was so happy to see some of her creations and I can't wait to share them with you.  Here are some cards that Terry created, I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did.

If you remember, at the beginning of the week, I did the exact same thing.  Take your Designer Series Papers and make a bunch of cards, just change the Greeting to fit what you need.  Terry took the now retired DSP called See a Silhouette and created all of these cards.  Terry said that she liked the paper so much, that she just had to use it up.

I bet that you can find some papers that you have been saving, now is the time to "Use it Up!"

They are very pretty, thanks for sharing!

Stampin' Up! Tip Friday - Dragonfly Garden Step It Up!

Dragonfly Garden Step-by-Step
Did you know? In some cultures, the dragonfly is a symbol for good luck and prosperity—perhaps because dragonflies hovering over the water meant fish were below. We love them for their jewel tones and luminous wings—so pretty!
CASUAL
To begin creating our dragonfly cards, start simple. Fold Basic White Cardstock in half; add layers of Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper to the card front plus a floral image and sentiment stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock using Jet Black StazOn ink.
The dragonfly is the crowning touch of this card, but how did we make it? Piece of cake! We sized the dragonflies on our Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper to fit the Dragonfly Punch, so you can easily “capture” them for use as accents on cards and other projects.
Simply punch your favorite dragonfly from the Designer Series Paper and adhere it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals; it almost appears to hover above the paper! This classy card takes only minutes to create—making it perfect for a casual crafter workshop.
AVID
Step up our second card by adhering an additional layer of Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. We also added a little color to the stamped floral image using Water Painters. The Bumblebee and Pear Pizzazz inks really brighten the flower and bring it to life.
ARTFULLY AVID
Our most detailed card features another layer of fun Designer Series Paper, plus some additional color for the stamped floral image. This time we chose Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, and Mossy Meadow. Once the stamped piece was dry, we embossed it using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. We think the extra dimension and depth add the perfect touch to this beautiful, nature lovers card.

Facebook Live Replay - Springtime Joy

This week's stamp set is called Springtime Joy and I am so joyful for this video.  If you have watched my videos in the past you have probably noticed that the videos can be somewhat blurry, and this week was no different.  It was so bad (like the whole video) I decided to try something different.  It was suggested by one of my customers.  So I set up in my dining room, I forgot some things (like adhesive!) and had to make an adjustment BUT it worked, it was crystal clear and I had a good response from the ladies that watched.  So if you haven't given me a try lately, please try today!

Here is a close up of the card that I made.  This cute stamp set is just perfect for those Springtime cards that you make this time of year.  I am using this one as an Easter Card.

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET: Springtime Joy

INK: Memento Black

PAPER: Crumb Cake Base, Merry Merlot Layer, Rococo Rose Half Layer, Hydrangea Hill DSP Half Layer, White I/S, Tag & Stitched Circle

ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals, Meadow Moments Embossing Folder, In Color Enamel Butterflies, In Color Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Stampin' Blends in Granny Apple Green, Sahara Sand, Rococo Rose, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake

Here is the video, I hope that you enjoy it!

There you have it!  Join me next week when I will share another card using a different stamp set.  I always share tips and it really is a great time.  Thanks!!

Cindy

My Heart is Grateful for You

Do you ever have a need for a certain type of card?  For me it is all about Thank You cards, with my business I need a lot of them, which is a very good problem to have!  I like to make up a bunch of Thank You cards to have on hand.  The design I settled on today is also a great way to use up Designer Series Papers, why let it go to waste, use it!!

Here are the cards, enjoy!

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET:  Vine Design

INK: Memento Black (Inside), Just Jade or Balmy Blue or Misty Moonlight or Granny Apple Green

PAPER: Just Jade or Balmy Blue or Misty Moonlight or Granny Apple Green Base, White, Scraps, Field & Flowers Designer Series Paper (Retired)

ACCESSORIES:  Dimensionals, Double Oval Punch

As pretty as the Field & Flowers Designer Series Papers were, the cards were pretty easy to make. Pick a sheet of Designer Series Paper and see what you can do!

Here is what the inside looked like, it is from the retired stamp set Beautiful Autumn.  See I do use my retired stamps, and you should too!

March Technique Cards - Shimmer Paints & Embossing Folders

Create a pretty amazing background with Shimmer Paint and Embossing Folders.  Select a 3D Embossing Folder, run a light colored cardstock through your embossing machine. Then take a cotton ball or q-tip, dip in Shimmer Paint, blotting off any excess. Swipe across cardstock to lightly apply the Shimmer Paint. I feel it creates a soft background with a hint of sparkle.
