 Ready for some Fancy Folds?  These two are our resident Fancy Fold Card Makers and are always up to the challenge.  Judy & Katelynn have a lot of fun making these very special and beautiful cards.

I can't tell you what kind of folds that these are, but they sure give me a lot of inspiration and I like admiring them.

Stampin' Up! Stamping Tips - Simple Cards

 

A Simple Card Could Lead to a Million Things

Have you ever heard the saying “A simple hello could lead to a million things?” The same applies to a simple card. Sharing your best wishes could make someone’s day—or it could change their whole life! That’s why we think everyone should have plenty of simple cards on hand—so you’re ready to make a difference whenever you can.

We’ve got a trio of fun, easy cards that you could create in an hour or less. And fancying up a card with a little trick here or there is easier than you might think. For instance, our concept artist used Watercolor Pencils to color the cute flower images on the Bonheur card—no water or blending needed!

To create the You Make Me Happy card, we designed our own patterned paper with tone-on-tone stamping. Note: Though the background images are meant to be flower centers or small clusters of flowers, we used them to create playful design elements. There are no hard and fast rules with stamping. Just have fun with it!

For the Freude card we used classic stamping off to create a dynamic background using a single ink pad. Isn’t it gorgeous? And the technique is so simple and fast.

Facebook Live Replay - Zany Zebras

 This weeks stamp set for our Facebook Live was called Zany Zebras.  For the month of April I am using product from Stampin' Up! that will be retiring on May 3rd, I will indicate in the Project Recipe what items will be retiring soon.  You may want to order these items while you still can.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

• STAMPS – Dragonfly Garden Set (15411)

• PAPER –Basic White Cardstock (100730), Basic White Thick Cardstock (144237) Misty Moonlight Cardstock (153081), Dandy Garden DSP (154297)

• INK – Misty Moonlight Ink ((153118), Memento Black Ink (132708)

• OTHER –Lady Bug Trinkets (154299) Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775), Paper Trimmer (152392), Stitched Shapes (152323), Snail Mail Twine Combo (154579), Stampin Seal Plus (149699), Stampin Cut Emboss Machine (149653), Paper Snips (103579), Bone Folder (102300), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin Dimensionals (104430), Seaside Spray Stampin Blends (154901), Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897), Dragonflies punch (154240)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Cut one Basic White Thick Cardstock 5 ½” x 8 1/2” score at 4 1/4” with paper trimmer and crease with Bone Folder

• Cut Basic White Cardstock 5” x 3 ¾” and Emboss with Subtle 3D embossing folder. Also cut one Basic White 5 ¼” x 4” for inside of card.

• Cut Misty Moonlight with trimmer 5 ¼”x4” and one 5” x 1 3/4” strip. Cut DSP to 5” x 1 ½” and also a 5 ¼” x ½ strip for inside card.

• Die cut a Large Stitched Circle with cut emboss machine.

• Stamp Dragon fly on scrap of Whisper White and punch out with dragonflies punch.

Instructions :

• Mount the embossed basic white subtle paper on the Misty Moonlight 5 ¼” x 4”

• Layer the 5” x 1 ½” DSP on the strip of cut Misty Moonlight with Stampin Seal plus.

• Adhere that to the Basic White embossed piece in center of card.

• Next wrap around the center of the strip and around card front with white bakers twine wrapped around the card 3 times knotted in center. Cut twine with paper snips.

• Take the large stitched circle die cut shape and stamp your greeting in Misty Moonlight Ink.

• Color in the dragonfly wings using the Stampin Blends and add Wink of Stella to the wings.

• Pop the dragonfly off the circle using a Stampin Dimensional in the center of the dragonfly and attach it to the circle at an angle.

• Using a mini glue dot attach the lady bug trinket to the circle.

• Using Stamin Dimensionals place on the back of the Misty Moonlight and adhere the card front to the card base.

• Attach the 5 ¼” x ½” strip of DSP to the Basic White cut 5 ¼” x 4” cut for inside the card using with your Stampin Seal plus to the bottom of the piece and adhering that inside the card.

• Using your paper snips glue a piece of the DSP to the envelope flap and trim around using your Stampin Seal plus.

• Stamp the flock of dragonflies in Misty Moonlight to the outside front of the envelope.

• Enjoy this simple card! Change the colors using the colors of the DSP in your pack!

Back in the Stamping Studio!

I am back in my stamping studio and busy cutting cardstock for an upcoming class.   But then I realize that I need a card to share with you today.  Today's card is a card that you will see in our next Class to Go!  This card uses a lot of "Retiring" items, and while I am sad to see most of it retire, I can't wait to get started using the "New" items that are coming in May.  But lets not rush ourselves, lets enjoy the moment and use those retiring items one last time.

Happy Easter

 I usually don't post on Sundays, but wanted to share with you the lovely little treat holders that I made for my two little sweethearts.

I used the Little Treats Die and the stamp set is Springtime Joy from Stampin' Up!  They holders are just big enough to hold a little treat, a Reese's Peanut Butter Egg.
