The moment that you have been waiting for, here are the cards for the April Class to Go! or for the April Kit Class.  The two classes use the same cards, it is just your choice to make the cards in person or if you can't you can choose the class as a Class to Go!

I am posting the cards that are available for you to make. The pictures of the cards will be listed at the end of this post. Mark Your Calendar, this is always a fun evening.

You can make any designs, mix and match, any amount that you want. You can let me know which cards that you would like to make or if you want to live dangerously, just come to class and you can pick your cards then! But remember I can't guarantee how many cards will be left.

5 Cards - $7.00

10 Cards - $12.00

15 Cards - $17.00

Or the Class can be FREE with a $25 Stampin' Up! Order

Remember, you can also come a little early or a little late, we just want to be done by 8:00 p.m. I usually get to Schmittys about 4:15 and have everything set up by 4:30.

• Location – Schmitty’s On Main, Right across from the gazebo, go in Schmitty’s door, take a left and go down the stairs to the banquet room. Not hard to find at all

This class is also available as a Class to Go! And comes with instructions, you use your own stamps, ink, folders and dies.

Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Bernie Seidl

 Today is Spotlight Stamper day and I am happy to share with you some cards that Bernie Seidl made.  Bernie has been stamping with me since day one for our card classes in Neillsville, she is also one of my down lines.  Besides being a great hobby, stamping also has been a great way to make great friends.

This fancy fold featured the Treasures of Life on the inside of the card, (front of the card is above. So clever!

This card also uses the Treasures of Life and would make a beautiful baby card for new parents.

Memory Keeping: Forever & Always

 

 

Memory Keeping: Forever & Always

Preserving memories through memory keeping has to be one of the most satisfying ways to feed that creative urge. Not only does it let you express love for the important people in your life, but you can also surround beloved photos with your own creative touches—adding an embellishment here, a Designer Series Paper layer there—until you feel that you’ve honored your loved one and created a work of art at the same time.

We think our Always Together page would be a treasured gift—maybe to copy, frame, and share with family! Our concept artist added some love to her project by inking up the True Love Designer Series Paper background layers. How did she achieve the flowers’ rich color? First, she colored the images with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then added a blush of color on top using the dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend marker. She also created a bit of depth by adhering a Vellum Cardstock layer behind the photo, then made the page pop with a sprinkling of Artistry Blooms Sequins.

And let’s not forget that beautiful “Always” sentiment! She made it by stamping with VersaMark ink on Bumblebee Cardstock and heat embossing using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. (Heat embossing is much easier than it looks! Give it a try if you haven’t already!)

What can you do with your boxes of photos gathering dust on the shelf? We challenge you to keep the memories fresh, pull out your papercrafting supplies, and start making a few precious scrapbook pages today. You’ll be glad you did!

 This is something that I am definitely going to work on this summer. I have so many people that I want to scrapbook.

Facebook Replay - Under My Umbrella

Umbrellas were definitely necessary here in Central Wisconsin this week, but we needed the rain as they say, but it could quit and be sunny and nice any time. My featured stamp set this week is Under My Umbrella, I am sad to see this stamp set with the coordinating punch go, but I know that there will be some great sets to take its place. Also featured is the retiring In Color Pretty Peacock for the card base and Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Thick Basic White – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”

• Basic White – 4” x 5 ¼”, 3” x 3”, 3 ¾” x 2”

Instructions:

• Stamp flower images randomly over the layer of white in Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody. Add the flower middles using the same colors. Stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green add some without reinking the stamp. Add to card base.

• Emboss the white square with the Dainty Diamonds folder, add to card where shown.

• Stamp sentiments on the small layer of white using Basic Gray for “happy”, Granny Apple Green for “for you” and Coastal Cabana for “sending lots of”.

• Zigzag the ribbon and secure it to the embossed layer.

• Add sentiment layer with dimensionals.

• Add yellow sequins as shown.

Andi Was Here!

 Andi was in the house on Friday and the first thing she said was, "Grandma can I make a stamping video?"  Well sure, lets think about what kind of card that you want to make.  Her dad had a birthday on Saturday so a birthday card and he likes to fish.  That was pretty easy as I knew of the perfect stamp set. Now realize that Andi uses the retired stamp sets, not that she couldn't use my current sets. Its just that the retired sets are at her eye level, the current ones are a lot higher!!
