This week's Spotlight Stamper is our own Debbie Vine. I have spotlighted Deb in the past and her cards are always ones to look forward to. The beauty of her cards speak for themselves.
Deb used the retiring set Field of Flowers for the two cards listed below.
Who doesn't love a cute Pin Wheel card, great way to use up those scraps!
Do you like #SimpleStamping, use the Flowering Vine Dies! They coordinate with the Vine Design stamp set.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to look at my
cards. I would be honored if you would allow me to be your Stampin' Up!

You know what they say . . . imitation is the sincerest
form of flattery. Why not compliment someone today by CASEing their
work? Find something you absolutely love about a card you see on
Pinterest, social media, or in a Stampin’ Up! catalog—then use that
inspiration to make something new and original!
Our concept artists have been “on the CASE,” themselves.
For example, the My Sweet Friend card features a color combo that we
repurposed and refreshed. We used the same colors as the original but
took the design in a different direction. P.S. You can do this with
cards, with magazine images, or with housewares from a home furnishing
shop! See a rug with striking colors? Take a picture and CASE it!
To create the Les petites choses card, we stamped detail
on the card base vs. using a detailed die cut. The ornate background was
the original inspiration; we saw it, liked it, and did it our way. We
also tore the edges of the sentiment for texture. (Our little addition!)
For the Liebe card, we CASEd a look that showcased
exact-fitting die-cut pieces behind the detailed die. We replaced that
with “loose” paper piecing and added blocks of color behind the detailed
die cut. For a finishing touch, we stamped off the hearts for a
two-tone effect.
Why not see what you can copy and share from the
January–June 2021 Mini Catalog . . . maybe a fabulous floral—flamingos,
woodland creatures, a flowering cactus?

My featured set this week for my Facebook Live is Country Home. This wonderful set will be retiring on May 3rd, so there is still time to order it if you would like it in your stamping collection. I have always loved this set, in fact it was our September, 2018 Stamp of the Month. I had a lot of fun creating this card, I hope that this inspires you to try making this card yourself.
Here is a close up of the Country Home card:
Here is the stamp set, isn't it a great set?! It is located on page 89 of the current Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.
Project Recipe:
STAMP SETS: Country Home
INK: Memento Black, Terracotta Tile
PAPER: Pretty Peacock Base, Terracotta Tile Layer, Cajun Craze Layer, White, Scraps and Grapefruit Grove Foil (Retired-No Longer Available)
Every week at my Facebook Live Class, I always share some Helpful Hints to make your stamping easier and more enjoyable.
HINTS:
When you get ready to use Photopolymer stamps after not using them for a while, run them on the damp side of the Stampin' Scrub; this will clean up any residue on your stamps to make them and they will stick to the acrylic blocks better.
Taking Foil Paper and running it through your Embossing Machine will create a very neat background for your card.

Cutting
& Scoring:
Crumb
Cake 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”; 4” x 5-1/4”;
1-1/2” square
Dandy
Garden DSP (3) 1-1/4” x 5”
Vellum
3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
Whisper
White 1” square scrap
Mossy
Meadow Linen Trim 12”
Instructions:
Burnish
the folded edge of the card base with the Bone Folder.
Adhere
the three strips of DSP to the Crumb Cake layer. A helpful tip is
to use transparent tape on the back of the three strips to hold them
together and glue them as a unit to the layer.
Using
Versamark Ink, stamp the flower toward the left side of the vellum
and the sentiment on the small Crumb Cake square. Add the white
embossing powder to both pieces and set with the Heat Tool.
Using
the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, use the smallest circle to
cut the sentiment. Adhere this to the vellum as shown with
Multipurpose Glue.
Punch
a small dragonfly from the basic white scrap and adhere above the
sentiment circle with a Mini Glue Dot.
Position
Mini Glue Dots behind the more solid areas of the flowers, sentiment
and dragonfly. Adhere on top of the DSP.
Tie
the Mossy Meadow trim around the decorated front panel and tie in a
knot, fraying the ends if desired.
Using
Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the panel to the card front.

I always count my blessings when these two little people come to visit me and want to stamp with me. This month I have been showcasing stamp sets from Stampin' Up! that are retired but will also be retiring by May 3rd. Easton picked the stamp set Need for Speed as his stamp set of choice, it may have retired a few years ago, but it still a cool set.
Andi picked Springtime Joy as her card of choice. Such pretty spring colors were also chosen with the Daffodil Delight and Designer Series Paper.
