Spotlight Stamper - Andi

Andi made this beautiful card for her mom for Mother's Day, so I had to promise that I couldn't share it with all of you until after Mother's Day.  So here is the lovely card that Andi made for her mom.  She came up with the design all by herself, that girl has quite an eye.

She used the Timeless Tulips stamp set and coordinating Tulip Builder Punch.  I am sure that her mom loved it.

Stampin' Up! Tip - Floating & Fluttering

 

Stepping It Up: Floating & Fluttering
Whether you’re preparing for a class where you’ll teach friends with varying levels of papercrafting experience, or you just want different options for the same overall design, stepping up is easy and fun.
In fact, it’s a bit like baking. Sometimes you just want an easy boxed sheet cake with frosting, other days you crave a homemade recipe with layers, and for special days you go all out with fresh berries and crème fraiche.
No matter the level, we’ve got something for you to share with your customers—and they’ll love these projects made using the Floating & Fluttering and Sweet Strawberry Stamp Sets.
CASUAL To make the casual card, stamp the butterfly images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink directly on the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, then use the two-step images to add color and depth. Stamp off the ink on a piece of scrap paper to create varying ink tones. Then, die cut a few butterflies and pop them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
AVID Step this card up by adding more color to your butterfly menagerie with Bumblebee ink. Cut a label from Bumblebee Cardstock using the Fluttering Dies, then stamp it with VersaMark ink to create a sophisticated tone-on-tone effect. Finish with an elegant tag made using Basic Black Cardstock and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. (All the butterflies on this card are die cut and adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals!) The Gilded Gems are the perfect finishing touch.
ARTFULLY AVID Our artfully avid card features distressed edges on the Designer Series Paper layer and embossing on the Bumblebee Cardstock label. Our concept artist colored the butterflies with Watercolor Pencils, and the subtle ink splatter (made using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker) adds a lovely vintage look.

Facebook Live Replay - Pansy Patch

This week's featured stamp set is the new Pansy Patch that just came out in the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. The Pansy Patch stamp set is part of the Pansy Petals Suite and can be found on page 28 and 29. Cutting & Scoring:

• Thick Basic White – 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, score and fold at 4-1/4”

• Soft Succulent – 5-1/2” x 1-5/8”

• Pansy Petal DSP – 5-3/8” x 1-1/2”

• Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Basic White, Polished Pink, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight – scraps for Pansy Dies

Instructions:

• Use the Polished Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to fleck ink onto the Thick Basic White card base.

• Stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set in Polished Pink on the bottom right of the card base.

• Attach the Soft Succulent layer to the left side of the card base. Center the Pansy Petals DSP on the Soft Succulent layer.

• 
  

• Use the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to die cut all the pieces for the pansy, leaves and flower buds as shown in the card picture.

• Use the Liquid Glue to assemble your pansy, buds and stems. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach to the card.

• Use a Mini Glue Dot to attach the Bumblebee Trinket.

• Enjoy!

Beauty of Friendship

 

Now that we have had a few days to enjoy the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog, I wanted to share with you today a card that I made.  Tell me what you think isn't this a great way to use Designer Series Paper (DSP) and add some stamped images? The more I work with the new papers and ink, the more I am in love with everything!

I realize that the Many Mates stamp set is retired, but I wanted to show how old meets new and is great!!  Besides the Congrats was a great greeting for the retirement card that I made with this card.
