Spotlight Stamper - Arlys Knoop

 My Spotlight Stamper today is Arly Knoop's daughter!  Arlys received this beautiful card from her daughter, Carol. What a beautiful card it is also.

 This fancy fold card is called an Explosion Fancy Fold, it really isn't that difficult and you can find a lot of You Tube videos on how to make one of your own.  The stamp set used is the retiring Pretty Perennials.

Facebook Live Replay - Party Puffins

 I had such a cute card to share with you all using the new Party Puffins stamp set from Stampin' Up!  This set is new to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and can be found on Page 67. This stamp set is, of course, perfect for the child birthday cards that you make, but what about just a whimsical card for a teen or adult?

Cutting & Scoring:

• Basis White Thick Cardstock 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2”

• Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4” x 4”

Instructions:

• Die cut one each Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather smallest rectangle from the Ornate Layers Dies.

• Stamp candle image on each Ornate Layer die cut piece, using same color ink.

• Adhere die cut pieces to 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock.

• Die cut H-A-P-P-Y from Pattern Party DSP, and from Foam Adhesive Sheet. Adhere die cut letters to Foam Adhesive Sheet letters to pop up.

• Stamp Party Puffin in Memento Black ink. Color using Dark Poppy Parade and Dark Daffodil Delight for hat, and Dark Pale Papaya for feet and beak. Fussy Cut.

• Using Memento Black ink, stamp Birthday sentiment on strip of Basic White cardstock, about ½” wide. Adhere to card front as shown.

• Adhere letters to front as shown.

• Using Stampin’ Dimensionals add Birthday Puffin image.

• Add Wink of Stella to top of party hat, and candle flames.

• Enjoy!

June Technique Class - Peek a Boo Technique

I was looking for a fun and easy technique for the month of June and I think that I found it with the Peek a Boo Technique. The Peek a Boo Technique is a great way to add dimension to a card.  Select the stamp set with a coordinating die.  Stamp your image and cut out with the die, set aside.  Then take the die and also cut out the shape on the front of your card. Adhere the stamped cut out image on the inside of the card so that it is "peeking" out of the card from the front.

STAMP SETS: Sweet as a Peach

INK: Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo

PAPER: Calypso Coral Card Base, You're a Peach Designer Series Paper, Basic White Scraps

ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals, Calypso Coral Sequins

HINT:  After cutting out the peach, I sponged the edges with Calypso Coral ink.

HINT:  I stamped and cut out with die the center of the flower and then adhered it to the card using a dimensional.

 Here is my Virtual Swap Card that I made for the month of June. I just love the Color & Contour stamp set with the coordinating Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Polished Pink 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”

• Expressions in Ink 5 ¼” x 4”

• Gold Foil Sheet 2 ½” x 5 ½”

• Basic White 3 ¾” x 5”

Instructions:

• Adhere the Expressions in Ink Layer to the front of the card base.

• Using the Leaves of the Artistic Dies, run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Gold Foil Sheet.

• Using the Leaves of the Artistic Dies, run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, using the Basic White piece.

• Adhere the Gold Leaves to the front of the card, then layer the White Flower Die Cut over the Leaves to the front of the card.

• Punch out a Scalloped Oval from Polished Pink Scrap using the Double Oval Punch.

• Punch out a Small Oval from Basic White Scrap using the Double Oval Punch.

• Stamp Best Wishes in Polished Pink ink onto the Small Oval. Adhere to the Polished Pink Scalloped Oval piece. Adhere to the front of the card lower right corner using Dimensionals.

• Stamp a card verse on the inside of the card, decorate the inside and the envelope to finish the card.

• Enjoy!
