October Technique - Softly Falling or Gently Falling

We had a great time making some beautiful cards this past week at the Technique Class.  I am sure no one realized what the technique would actually be until we started, but I think most were pleasantly surprised how much fun and how easy it was!  I originally called this technique Gently Falling and then found out it should be Softly Falling, well anyway that you look at it, it's beautiful!!

   Softly Falling Technique
Sponge different colors on your white cardstock to create the sky. Sponging the darkest color around the edges and then lightly sponging the dark color throughout. Run piece of cardstock through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Embossing folder. Using a sanding block, sand off the raised “bumps” to create stars.

Our Fancy Fold card for the month, I am calling it a Double Fold.  I received the card idea from my good friend, Janet Forton.  Jan and I met years ago when we ended up in the same apartment together while going to college.  We have been in touch on and off through the years but were both amazed when we connected again that we both like to stamp and are Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!!  How cool is that?!!
