April Technique - Mirror Technique

The Mirror Technique has been around for awhile and there are so many different ways to achieve the look.  We touched on two of the Mirror Techniques in April.  The cards were beautiful and the ladies had a great time creating this technique.

The first card using the Mirror Technique was to create a mirror of a person walking through a water puddle. To achieve this look we first stamped the Beautiful You lady on the Whisper White cardstock, then using a plastic sheet we stamped the image on the plastic sheet and turned it upside down and rubbed the ink onto the Whisper White cardstock.  We used the watercolor pencils to color the dress and create the water puddle.

Card #1 - Beautiful You
Stamp Sets:  Beautiful You
Ink:  Black
Watercolor Pencils:  Pool Party, Rich Razzelberry
Paper:  Rich Razzelberry Base, Pink Pirouette Layer, Whisper White 3 3/4 x 5, Falling in Love Designer Series Paper 1 x 5
Accessories:  Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

The second card using the Mirror Technique was to create two mugs "cheering" each other.  We first stamped the mug on the right side directly onto the Whisper White oval.  Taking a Photopolymer solid stamp, we attached it to an acrylic block upside down, inked up the mug and stamped it on the photopolymer stamp and then stamped that on the Whisper White oval, this created the bug on the right side.  So clever right?!!

Card #2 - Cheers!
Stamp Sets:  Mixed Drinks
Ink:  Memento Black, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Sky, Rose Red, Tangerine Tango
Paper:  Soft Sky Base, Tempting Turquoise Layer, Whisper White, Festive Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Dimensions, Wink of Stella

The last card is our Fancy Fold using the Cool Treats stamp set and coordinating Framelits, this is such a easy fold but it is also so fun when you open the card to see the rest of it.

Stamp Sets:  Cool Treats
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral
Paper:  Flirty Flamingo Base, Whisper White, Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper, Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party

Here is the inside of the card when it is opened:
