Butterfly Garden Kit - The Journey Continues

If you have been following me, I stepped in a hole and severely sprained my foot/ankle, that was 7 days ago. As you can imagine, the pain was unbelievable but by now I am very bored. We watched a couple of series on television but now Jim is busy bottling maple syrup so I am on my own. The Stampin' Up! Kits to the rescue, today it was the Butterfly Garden Kit (167266).  This kit is just so wonderful and comes with everything that you need to make 9 of the prettiest cards.

Such a pretty kit and everything is included; the precut cards with matching envelopes, stamp set, Stampin' spot, dimensionals and white gems to finish your project.

This is what comes with the kit, I really liked the stamp set. It was just perfect for the cards.

Thanks for stopping by, I have more card kits to make so I am pretty sure that I won't get too bored, although I would much rather be outside working in my gardens.

Take care.
Cindy

Beautiful Graduation Cards

Since I am laid up, I have been stamping for me this week. From Stampin' Up! Kits to using stamp sets and dies that I have to make some really pretty graduation cards. The cards turned out so pretty, I am kind of proud of them to say the least.

Here are the cards:

Project Recipe:

STAMP SETS: (A variety of Congratulatory stamps for the Inside)

INK: Memento Black

PAPER: Pumpkin Pie or Pretty in Pink or Shy Shamrock; Black, Splash of Sparkles DSP, Gold Foil

ACCESSORIES: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Dimensionals, Gold Gems, Wanted to Say Dies (Celebrate), Beautiful Balloons Die (Tassel)

When I got this DSP, I really had no idea what to do with it, but when making the cards, I wanted some gold to make the card special and this worked so great.

Thanks for stopping in, hope to see you again.

I Guess I Have Come Full Circle

I can remember when I first started stamping, I use to stamp on this small table in our living room. I didn't have a lot of supplies so I just kept it all in a bin by my feet. Later I would move into my son's old bedroom and go from there. You may have heard that I sprained my ankle and am having a bit of a challenge getting around. Yesterday I decided that I wanted to stamp in the living room so that I could put my foot up. So out came the little table and a Stampin' Up! Kit.

Here we are:

The name of the kit is Lots to Love Kit, and it was so much fun to put together. You can stamp whatever you want or need on the inside. It is a really pretty kit for spring. I am so glad that I was able to craft today, it made me feel better on the inside. My ankle is coming along, it just is going to take some time.

Today I have the Butterfly Garden Kit to work on, I will let you know how that turns out, but I am really looking forward to it. If you want to see the cards up close, turn in to my Facebook Live on Monday at 5:30 p.m.  You can find me under Cindy's Stamping Studio on Facebook.

Have a great day and take care.

Here is the card:

Here is the card folded up, it fits perfectly in our A2 Envelopes.

And here is the card when it is opened up. The card comes closed up and you just pull on the 2 little tabs to open it into this beautiful card. This is coming to you from Whispers in Ink.

Here are the cutting and scoring directions.

Now sit back and watch the video to see how the card is made.

Facebook Live Replay - Beautiful Motifs Dies

This week, I wanted to play with the dies that go with the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. The Beautiful Motifs Dies include two decorative motif designs and three greenery shapes. Turn the motifs into corner details on your cards or use them as a key layering element.

Here is the card that I made:

I love the simplicity of this card and just the right amount of "Wow," who says that you have to color leaves, just get those blending brushes out.

Project Recipe:

STAMP SETS: Beautiful Motifs (Last Chance List #165198)

INK: Shy Shamrock

PAPER: Shy Shamrock Base, Basic Black, Basic White, Mixed Up Patterns DSp

ACCESSORIES: Beautiful Motifs Dies (Last Chance List #165205), Shy Shamrock Resin Dots, Dimensionals, Blending Brush

CUTTING & SCORING:

  • Shy Shamrock Base 5 1/4" x 8 1/2" Score 4 1/4"
  • Basic Black 2 1/4" x 4 1/4"
  • White 2 1/8" x 4"
  • White Inside 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Mixed Up Patterns Layer 4" x 5 1/4"

Sometimes the simplest card makes the best card. Now sit back and enjoy the video.

I hope that you enjoyed this week's card, come back next week for a sneak peak at the new catalog that is coming out from Stampin' Up! on May 5th. Or tune into my Facebook page for the live version. You can find me by doing a search of Cindy's Stamping Studio.

It's Almost Graduation Time

I started working on Graduation Cards, what have you made?

This is one that I made this year using the Reason to Celebrate stamp set and the now retired Cap & Gown stamp sets from Stampin' Up! What I really liked about this card is that the card can be swapped out and use the graduation colors.

Here is a card that I made in 2025, it's a classic.

I hope that you enjoyed the cards today, never to late to being thinking about graduation.

Take care,

Cindy

Stampin' Up! Creative Challenge: Combine Two Coloring Techniques

Creative Challenge: Combine Two Coloring Techniques

Challenge your customers to stretch their creative skills by combining two coloring techniques on a single project—just like we did with the Love You Lots card. We used a Stampin’ Brayer to add Fresh Freesia ink to the card base, then created a circle stencil with a Stylish Shapes Die and applied a thin layer of un-inked Embossing Paste over the stencil. Keeping the paste thin allowed the ink beneath to show through for a soft wash of color. Invite customers to try their own technique combos and share their results!
