Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Debbie Vine

My Spotlight Stamper today is our own Debbie Vine. Her technique is beautiful and I am so happy that she is also one of my down lines.

Using the Poinsettia Petals for this beautiful card paired with the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

The above card uses the Joyful Holly stamp set found on Page 34 of the August-December Mini Catalog of Stampin' Up!

What a lovely color combination!

And, I found out that Deb also likes to make 3D projects, like the ones above. These are refrigerator magnets!!  They use a canning lid for the base of the magnet and the magnet itself. Aren't they beautiful?!!

Happy Christmas Step-by-Step
We’re all papercrafters, here. And that means visions of sugarplums (and Christmas crafting) start dancing in our heads as soon as October hits. Help those visions translate into reality by planning now to create handmade packaging for your family and friends—and help your customers do the same! Keep it simple or make it fancy. All that matters is that you add a bit of yourself to your giving this year by making it handmade and heartfelt.
CASUAL The standout on this sweet Christmas packaging is our adorable, rustic tag. And trust us—once you make the first one, creating multiples is easy. Tip: Besides using the ripped paper technique, stamp off the solid trees to add depth. Once you finish stamping, tie the tag to the Mini Shipping Box with a bit of Linen Thread. So cute!
AVID We fancied up our second tag by adding a variety of stamped embellishments. Just run the stamped images through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Warm Wraps Dies, then adhere them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We also added die-cut Real Red Cardstock trim along with open-weave ribbon and gold metallic trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack for extra charm.
ARTFULLY AVID We stepped up our final project by embossing the tag with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder. We then adhered pretty wreath sprigs and finished with a bit of ink splattering using the Aqua Painter. This tag is so festive you could almost hang it on the Christmas tree!

Facebook Live Replay - Peace & Joy

 The Peace & Joy stamp set with matching Joy Dies can be found in the August-December Mini Stampin' Up! Catalog on Page 18.  This fun set can make your Christmas card making a Joy, Peace as in Peaceful and Bright!!

• PAPER – Cherry Cobbler (119685), Crumb Cake (120953), Shaded Spruce (146981), Whisper White (100730)

• INK – Cherry Cobbler (147083)

• OTHER – Wreath Builder Dies (152722), Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder (152718), Tasteful Labels Dies (152886), 2 1/4” Circle Punch (143720), Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (153527), Metallic Pearls (146282), 3/8” Embroidered Ribbon (153554), Adhesive Sheets (152334), Silicone Craft Sheet (127853), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Cutting & Scoring:

• Shaded Spruce 4-1/4” x 11” score at 5-1/2”, 4 1/8” x 4 1/8”

• Crumb Cake 5-1/4” x 4”

• Cherry Cobbler 5 1/4” x 1” (2), 4 1/8” x 4 1/8”, scrap

• Whisper White 5 1/4” x 4”, scrap

• DSP 5-1/8” x 7/8” (2)

• Adhesive Sheets 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” (2)

Instructions:

• Fold card base on score line.

• Emboss 5-1/4” x 4” Crumb Cake layer through Cut & Emboss machine with Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

• Adhere DSP to Cherry Cobbler layers, adhere layers to outside edges of Crumb Cake layer.

• Punch out a circle with the 2 1/4” circle punch from the Cherry Cobbler scrap.

• Stamp sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White scrap, die cut with stitched circle die, adhere to Cherry Cobbler circle.

• Adhere Adhesive sheets to Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler layers.

• Die cut the wreaths through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.

• Place circles on Silicone craft sheet, remove adhesive from Shaded Spruce wreath and adhere around the sentiment layer.

• Remove adhesive from Cherry Cobbler wreath, adhere on top of first wreath.

• Remove from Silicone sheet, adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Tie a bow with the embroidered ribbon, adhere to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.

• Add Gold Metallic pearls around the wreath.

• ENJOY!

Christmas Poinsettias

 I have a lovely Christmas Card to share with you that uses the beautiful Poinsettia Petals stamp set, the Plush Poinsettia Designer Series Paper.  I needed some more Christmas cards and this is what I came up with.

ACCESSORIES: Postage Punch, Dimensions, Poinsettia Dies

Such a simple card but I think that the results are perfect and very pretty!!

Stampin' Up! Weekly Stamping Tip

 

Simple Stamping Tips

To cut down on time, use one (or more) of the samples you see here for inspiration. We added depth and interest to these easy-to-assemble cards by stamping off, using stamped layers, and selecting a limited—but eye-catching—color palette. You can come up with other ideas by flipping through the catalog. Get out a notepad and write down all of the simple stamping ideas you see, then pick two or three to create a beautiful card!

Whatever you do, remember to post your work in the Demonstrator Planning Place with the hashtag #SimpleStamping. We can’t wait to see your projects!
