Saturday Spotlight Stamper - Arlys Knoop

Making cards is not the only thing that you can do with cardstock and stamps, how about gifts?! I didn't want this fabulous gift that our own Arlys Knoop made for us to go unnoticed.  The picture does not do how cute these cute little gift holders are.

I am told that it is very easy to make, just look up Triangle Treat Boxes to create your own treat boxes.

Weekly Stampin' Up! Tip - Simple Stamping, Three Ways

Here is your Weekly Stamping Tips from Stampin' Up!

Simple Stamping, Three Ways
Wishing you had lots of cards on hand for every occasion, but not sure where to start? Designing clean, simple projects is the quickest way to reach your goal.
If you want an even faster method for getting the job done—one that doesn’t involve coming up with your own card design—simply use one of the samples you see here as a basic template, substituting stamps, ink, and paper to suit your taste. When you follow the overall layout of the card, including image and sentiment placement, half of the work is done for you. At the end of your stamping session, you’ll have a stack of ready-to-send cards—finished in no time at all.
Easy techniques you can duplicate from our samples include, filling in the stamped images with Wink of Stella, creating fun backgrounds by stamping multiple images on a layer, and tone-on-tone stamping. To illustrate this final technique, we stamped the car image in Pool Party ink on Pool Party Cardstock to create a subtle background. (Tip: On the top layer, stamp the center tree first for even spacing.)
Whatever you do to create your simple cards, have a great time! And invite a friend over to stamp with you. The more stampers, the more fun!

Facebook Live Replay - Snow Dies

This week the featured set was the Snow Wonder stamp but also the Snow Dies. We used the embossing Snowflakes. It was a great way to showcase a simple card and make it beautiful.

Here is a close up of the card:

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET: Snow Wonder, Here's a Card

    INK: Seaside Spray, Gray Granite

PAPER: Seaside Spray Base, Whisper White Layer, Seaside Spray Layer

ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals, Snowflake Sequins, Metallic Edge White Ribbon

Here is what the stamp set and dies look like. You can see that the embossing snowflakes go both directions. We also used the word label die.

Now here is the video, I hope that you enjoy the video. Please consider subscribing to my blog, the place to sign up is listed on the right hand side under "Follow by Email". Even better tune into my Facebook Live each Monday for another fun stamp set from Stampin' Up!

So what do you think?  Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Cards With Andi and a Sneak Peak

Today's theme is how we can make Simple Cards and still achieve the "Wow" factor.  To make it look even easier, Andi came to visit last week. When she saw my sample, she just had to make some cards.

Complete with the antlers that she borrowed from me, Andi is busy at work. Using the same stamp set on each card, the new Happy Thoughts set from Stampin' Up! will be the answer to all of your stamping needs.  You know me, I love word sets and this one has the prettiest font, you are going to love it.

Next up is the layout, we used Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Rococo Rose card bases, then used some FREE Sale a Bration Designer Series Paper.  The background paper is called Oh So Ombre that we ran through our Embossing Machine, it is called Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and the strip of Designer Paper is Flower and Field.  Did I say that both papers are FREE?!!
We added a tag from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. We stamped a flower from the new Sweet Strawberry set that will be in the January to June Mini Catalog.

And here is our happy reindeer showing off her very lovely cards.  I hope that you enjoy today's cards and realize that cards do not have to be fancy or difficult to be beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Thank You For Everything

This time of year, I like to look back and think about the year in itself. Yes we had the Pandemic to deal with but there was so many other things in the "Good" category. For me, having my grandchildren around more was epic!  Because of schools closing down and quarantines, I got to spend so much time with the kids and I am so grateful.  From listening to Andi's stories to Easton's very serious observations, these kids made me laugh and made me so happy.  I got to do things with the kids, maybe it wasn't the water parks or fairs, but we went for rides in our woods with the UTV's and had a blast.

I found that I didn't need to "go to town" all of the time, and was quite content to spend time in my stamping room. Because of all of the time I spent in this room, I was able to create more and I think that helped my little part time business a lot.

So today's card is a very simple card, a Thank You card.

Project Recipe:

STAMP SET: So Sentimental

INK: Memento Black

PAPER: Balmy Blue or Misty Moonlight or Garden Green Bases and Layers, Designer Series Papers Layers, Whisper White Scraps

ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals

Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my blog, I have a Facebook Live tonight at 5:30 p.m. CT and would love it if you could join me.
