I had good intentions!

I made this card tonight, not sure which one I like. I wanted to make a birthday card and somehow use the new SU Designer Paper.

I used Wild Wabashi cardstock for the main card and Chocolate Chip and Really Rust as accent pieces. I cut out the butterfly from the SU Hostess Set, Cause for Celebration and only glued down the middle of the butterfly and made his wings look 3-d.

Something different, I guess, the cards are growing on me.

I am going to start working on my scrapbooks, got the pictures out and started organizing them. I have two years of pictures to work on!

In the Stars

I got to do alittle more playing today and made this card. The stamp set, In the Stars is from the new Occasions Mini Catolog from Stamping up. I used the big Star and little Star punches, I also embossed the big star with irradiscent ice. The cardstock that I used is Brocade Blue and Bashful Blue.

I think that this card will make a great graduation card, as the big star says "a Wish for You". You really can't see it in the scan, if you click on the photo, you should be able to see it.

As always, thanks for stopping by. The temperature got up to 40 degrees today!! Whoo-Hoo, first time since November at least.

Sweet Little One Baby

Both of these cards were stamped with the Cause for Celebration stamp set from Stampin' Up, its a hostess set. And I have found so many uses for the stamps. It is such a versatile set, I just love it. I wanted to make some baby cards to have on hand.

One card was made with Pretty in Pink Cardstock, the other with Bashful Blue. I used the Cause for Celebration. Then it was time to get out my 1 3/8", 1 1/4", Slit and Scallop punches; 2 blue or 2 pink brads, blue and pink grossgrain ribbon finished the card.
Remember, Click on the Pictures and you can see them bigger.

I couldn't believe it!! I actually had a Saturday where I didn't have to do alot of things. So I treated myself and stamped pretty much all afternoon. I wanted to try out one of my stamp sets that I just got from the Sale-A-Bration promotion through Stampin' Up.

I used Kraft Cardstock for the base. Ran Summer Sun through my Cuttlebug for the next layer. Then used So Many Scallops, I embossed the scallop with Iridescent Ice and used a demension to make it stand out a bit. A Turquoise Grossgrain Ribbon was added. BUT there was something missing. I had to take a walk and think about this...I used the flower from Cause for Celebration and stamped a turquoise flower on the solid circles from the Cuttlebug die. That was what the card needed!

This Thank You card was made with Tempting Turquoise Cardstock, Designer Series paper, and the Spot On Wheel for the background. The flower was stamped in Cameo Coral. I added a turquoise brad for the center of the flower and mounted it on a demension.
