A Different Kind of Card

I am sorry that I haven't posted anything since January 4! Where has the time gone?! I guess I have been too busy staying warm! We just got done with a week of below zero temperatures. The weather people are saying that Wisconsin got a blast of Artic air and thats a reason. All that I know that it was COLD!! And it seems that when its so cold, and we are not use to it as we have had a few mild winters, it takes just a bit to get use to it and alot of energy to stay warm! But I am happy to report that we made it and now in the coming week we will get our January thaw! We are looking forward to temps in the 30's and above freezing!! Can't wait!
My upline, Kelly and I are hosting another Stamp-A-Stack Camp in February and she emailed me a challenge to come up with a card for the event! And this is what I came up with. If you click on the photo, they should come up bigger so that you can see the detail. But what I first scored and folded both ends of my 4 1/4 x 11 cardstock and then ran Stampin' Up! Tango Tangerine cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the big Scallop die, by folding it first I did not cut the ends off and what you end up with is a card! Neat huh?! I then embellished the insside using my SU Party Hearty stampset, and also punched a window into the first card.

This is what the inside looks like, its something different. The best part is that this card that I designed (and I don't design alot) turned out so nice. Kelly loved the card and it will be one of the cards that we will be making at the camp. How cool is that?!
Our Stamp-A-Stack Camp will be Saturday, February 21st at the Weston Town Hall starting at 9 a.m. We'll have door prizes, tons of new ideas and of course...CHOCOLATE!!
I realize that most that subscribe to my blog live to far away to attend but if your interested in getting the cards pre-cut and ready to assembly, let me know. We will be making 5 different cards BUT there will be 2 of each card. So that makes 10 cards for $20, which is just $2.00 a piece. I can put together card kits if your interested. Until next time, stay warm!
