August Technique Class - Stamp & Trace

What a fun class this was!  The technique was Stamp & Trace and was so easy but it made our cards so pretty!!  We learnt that all you need is a stamp set, some ink and gel pens for this technique.

Stamp & Trace

Stamp your image, then use a gel pen to enhance the image.  By adding highlights, the image will pop making for a beautiful card.

Here is the first card:

Card 1 – Garden in Bloom

Stamp Sets:  Garden in Bloom, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink:  Pacific point/Marina Mist, Tangerine Tango/Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow/Pea Pizzazz, Black

Paper:  Maurina Mist Base 8 ½ x 5 ½, Cajun Craze Layer 4 x 5 ½ , Whisper White 3 ¾  x 5, Cajun Craze Scraps/White Scraps

Accessories:  White Satin Ribbon, Banner punch, Glue Dots, Dimensions, White Gel pen

Randomly stamp the flowers on your Whisper White cardstock, using the coordinating inks for the flowers (Pacific Pt/Marina Mist)(Tangerine/Watermelon) and Mossy Meadow/Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. Adhere to the Cajun Craze Layer, add the ribbon and tie a cheaters knot.  Add highlights to the flowers using a white gel pen.

Here is the second card:

Card 2 – You are So Kind

Stamp Sets:  Watercolor Wings

Ink:  Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Memento Black

Paper:  Cucumber Crush Base 5 ½ x 8 ½, Watermelon Wonder Layer 4 x 5 ¼, Whisper White 3 ¾ x 5, Pretty Petals DS 2 x 5, Black Scraps

Accessories: Rhinestone, Stitched Satin White Ribbon, Butterfly Die

Randomly stamp 3 butterflies on the Whisper White cardstock one side only.  Add accents with white gel pen, assemble.

And lastly here was our Fancy Project, Punch Art Giraffe!!  What fun this was, with all the punches that I had lined up on the table for us to use, it turned out to be a fun project.  All I can say about this card is that it is so "stinkin' cute"!!!

 

Fancy Project – Punch Art Giraffe

Stamp Sets: Perfect Pennants

Ink:  Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist

Paper:  Pool Party Base 4 ¼ x 11 (Scored at 2 ¾ & 5 ½), Whisper White 4 x 2 ½ (2), Whisper White 4 x 5 ¼, Whisper White 2 ¼ x 2 ¼ (2 for Tags)

Accessories:  Pool Party Ribbon, Oval (Large & Small), Owl, Bow Builder 1 ¾ Circle, Flower Medallion Punches; Decorative Dots Embossing Folder

Run the Whisper White 4 x 2 ½ pieces 4 x 5 through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. Attach to the Pool Party Base, folding card in a “Z” fold.  Assemble Giraffe according to the photo and chart.
