Botanical Blooms Meet Botanicals for You!

With the Occasions Mini Catalog and the SAB Mini Catalog just around the corner and with Christmas 2015 in the books; it is time for me to play with some of my new stash!!

I really like the stamp set Botanical Blooms, and I am just betting that it is going to be a favorite for you too!  The card that I want to show you not only uses the Botanical Blooms but also the SAB Botanicals for You.  Both of these sets are my new favorite!!

Here is the card:

I choose a Very Vanilla Base, with a Cajun Craze Layer, the Greeting is layered onto a Chocolate Chip Layer and the Flower is made from some Hello Honey, Cajun Craze and Chocolate Chip scraps and is attached to the card using a dimension.

Merry Christmas to You and Yours!

The shopping is done, the menu is planned and all that is left is for me to wish my customers, my friends and my family the warmest Merry Christmas!

I felt that the Season's Greeting that I received from Stampin' Up! was so pretty and quite fitting that I knew that I wanted to pass along.

So enjoy the season and enjoy the day; I will be back after Christmas to show you some great cards as we start the new year!

Take care,
Cindy

December 2015 Technique - Splatter

Last week was our Technique Classes, and the cards turned out great!  So without further ado, let's see what I have for you!

SPLATTER TECHNIQUE

Create the look of glitter accents on your card background.  Using a few drops of Tomboy glue, add a few drops of water from an aqua painter, mix well. Tap the aqua painter against your finger to “splatter” the glue mixture to your cardstock. Sprinkle glitter on glue drops and let dry.

Card 1 – Silent Night
Stamp Sets:  Cozy Christmas, Wonderland
Ink:  Night of Navy (sponging), Black
Paper:  Night of Navy Base, Smokey Slate Layer, Whisper White (2) 3 ¾ x 5
Accessories:  Gold Glitter, 2 ½” Circle Punch, Sponging, Tomboy Glue, Aqua Painter

NOTE:  Let sponged background dry before “splatter” so that glitter doesn’t stick to ink.

Card 2 – Peace on Earth
Stamp Sets:  Holly Jolly Greetings
Ink:  Maurina Mist *Stamped off*, Black
Paper:  Maurina Mist Base, Wisteria Wonder Layer, Whisper White (2) 3 ¾ x 5, Maurina 3 ¼ x 3 ¼ (Snowflake & Peace), Silver Glitter 2x2
Accessories: Silver Cord, Tape, Aqua Painter, Tomboy Glue, Dimension cut in half, Silver Glitter, Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Snowflake Card Thinlits

Fancy Project – Beautiful Ornament Reversed Z Fold
Stamp Sets: Embellished Ornaments
Ink:  Memento Black, Rich Razzelberry (inside)
Paper:  Night of Navy Base 9 x 4 ¼ (score at 3 ½), 2 ¼ x 3 ½, Soft Sky Layer 3 ¼ x 8 (score at 4), Rich Razzelberry 3 ¾ x 3 (front of Soft Sky layer), 4 1/8 x 3 3/8 (Layer behind DSP), DSP 4 x 3 ¼, Whisper White 3 ¾ x 3 (Inside)
Accessories: DSP 4 x 3 ¼, Gold Foil 2 ¼ x 3 ½ (Ornament), Dimensions (2), Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Delicate Ornament Thinlits, Gold Cord, Tape.

NOTE:  Run Ornament Thinlits through BS twice, to pop out pieces.
