Happy Friday!!

It's Friday!!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, fortunately it will be Monday before you know it!!  But let's not think about that today.  Today I want to share with you a card I received from Jeanene Fray.  She had posted on Facebook that she was looking for a retired stamp set.  I just happened to have that set and responded to her post.  She sent me her check along with this lovely card.

I didn't recognize the stamp set that she used, I did recognize the Heart and Home Thinlets die that she used.  I love the colors that she used, it makes for a very pretty card.

We won't want to be looking out the weekend this weekend, so enjoy the weather, even if it is going to be on the hot and sticky side.

New Stampin' Up! Kickoff Party!!

Last week I hosted the New 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog Kickoff Party.  We had a great attendance and had a blast!!  The Make and Take went over really well, old and new friends had a chance to not only look at the new catalog but also get caught up. Everyone was sharing what stamping projects they were or had been working on and of course, getting up on their gardens and summer activities as well.

I want to share with you pictures of the Display Board, some of the Sample Cards and Pictures of my lovely Stamping Ladies.  Now don't groan when you see your picture, as I am sharing all of the pictures that my assistant Bernie took for me.  I am not real fond of the picture of me, but as they say, it's what we look like!  So enjoy and relive that great night that we had last week!!

I can't wait to share the new stamp sets with you at our monthly classes, so please consider joining us!

Missing You Elizabeth!!

This past week I was contacted by a lovely lady requesting a card and gift certificate for someone who would be leaving her job here in Neillsville in order to pursue a new career.  When I found you who it was, I knew just the kind of card that I wanted to make!!  You see the person being honored was someone that I know and who has been coming to my stamping classes for about four years.  We always have so much fun with Elizabeth.  Considering that she was not from our area, she quickly fit right in and became friends with everyone she had contact with.

Her quick wit and her perky personality makes her the kind of person that everyone loves.  So Elizabeth on behalf of all of the "stamping ladies" and myself; We will miss you!!!  We hope you can stamp with us if you are in the area, and we are going to make it hard for you not to stamp with us!  We are like that!!  You have been a joy to have in my classes, making the classes quite popular!  Even though I refer to you as my "problem child" you really aren't, I love to pick on you!!

So pay attention in your new career and don't forget us!!

Did you want to see the card?  Well here it is!

Isn't this card just gorgeous??!!  I love how it quickly came together.

,Using the Paper Pumpkin stamp set that we got for free in May, I used the two flowers to make one flower (an idea that I got from Renee Schoen, one of my stamping ladies)  It just set off the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper, as if it needs any help!!  I also used the new In Color Peekaboo Peach as the ink.  But wait!  This is a Missing You card, you don't know what kind of greeting that I stamped on the inside and I forgot to take a picture of it, but I can tell you what it says.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set that was only offered to Demonstrators last year, but really should have been offered to everyone as it is so clever!!

The stamp set is called Just Kidding and the sentiment that I used for the card is:

                       Saying "goodbye" is hard...
...maybe not as hard as "no thanks
                       I'll pass on dessert"
                      ...but it's hard.

If you know Elizabeth, you know that this sentiment fits her to a "T"!!  I hope that she got a chuckle out of it, I really enjoyed making this card for you!!

Cindy
