November Kit Class Cards

Last week, we got together for our monthly Kit Class. The theme for November was winter cards that can double as a Christmas or All Occasion card.  Here is what we made:

Card #1 - Merry Patterns Birthday
This is a great masculine birthday card, the Woodland DSP and the deer in a sweater says it all!

Stamp Sets:  Merry Patterns, Special Celebrations
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper:  Sahara Sand Base, Early Espresso Layer, Woodland Designer Series Paper (DSP), Very Vanilla

Card #2 - Winter Wishes Thank You
I realize that the Winter Wishes stamp set is retired but I was looking for a sled for this card, and I love how it turned out.

Stamp Sets:  Winter Wishes (retired), All Things Thanks
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Paper:  Crumb Cake Base, Cherry Cobbler Layer, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  Silver Glitter Trim

Card #3 - Birthday Celebration
Stamp Set:  Celebration Time
Ink:  Black, Rich Razzelberry
Paper:  Berry Burst Base, Sweet Sugarplum Layer, Foil Frenzy DSP 1 x 5 1/4 (2)
Accessories:  Celebration Thinlits, Dimensions

The secret to this great card is to adhere a 1 x 5 1/4 Foil Frenzy strip to the top and the bottom of the Sweet Sugarplum Layer, then using Dimensions adhere the Rich Razzelberry 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 strip right in the middle. This creates the look of using a full sheet of DSP rather than just two strips.

Card #3 - Snowflake Thanks
Isn't this card great?!  I can see it doubling as a Christmas card, which it did when I made up a few for sending.

Stamp Sets:  Thankful Thoughts, Colorful Seasons (Inside)
Ink:  Black, Soft Sky
Paper: Soft Sky Base, Whisper White Layer, Whisper White Stitched Circle & Snowflake, Champagne Foil Snowflake & Stitched Circle
Accessories  Winter Wonder Embossing Folder, Colorful Seasons Die, Stitched Circle Die, Dimensions, Foil Snowflakes

Card #5 - So Very Sorry

Another great card that can easily double as a Christmas, but the Lovely as a Tree stamp set is a no fail every time!  This stamp set is a classic and is one of the first stamp sets created by Stampin' Up! co-founder Shelli Gardner and her sister. I am told that it will never retire and why should it, it is just as popular as ever.

Stamp Set: Lovely as a Tree, Sorry for Everything
Ink:  Black, Flirty Flamingo
Paper:  Smokey Slate Base, Grey Layer, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Wink of Stella, Silver Sequins

I hope that you enjoyed our November Kit Class cards, if you would ever like to join us, please get in touch with me.  The cards are available by attending class in Neillsville, or can be made into a kit. You have your choice of 5, 10 or 15 cards, you always end up with a great assortment.

Thanks for stopping in, as always Happy Stamping!!
Cindy
