Weekly Wednesday Wow! - Barn Door Card Project!

The Barn Door stamp set and matching Sliding Door Framelits bundle is the best interactive sliding door card that I have seen in a while. You can use the barn door image to create a door to fun!!

 Isn't this a fun card?!!  I can see so many possibilities and so many different people that I can send this card to!
 You can use cardboard circles that you punch out and mount on the top and bottom of the barn door so that they fit in the "sliders".


Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
  • STAMPS – Barn Door (Occasions 145865)
  • PAPER – Rose Red (102544), Crumb Cake (120953), Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP 144177), Whisper White (100730)
  • INK – Memento Black (132708), Early Espresso (126974)
  • OTHER – Sliding Door Framelits (Occasions 145662), Simple Strips Embossing Folder (Occasions 145648), Mini Stampin Dimensionals (144108) Big Shot (143263) Garden Green, Rose Red and Tempting Turquoise Markers (131259 & 131262), Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (140396)
Cutting & Scoring:
  • Rose Red Base 5 ½ x 8 ½, scored at 4 ¼; Crumb Cake Layer 4 ¼ x 5 ¼, Wood Textures DSP 2 ½ x 3 ½ , Whisper White 3 ½ x 2 ¼ , Black Scraps, White Scraps
Accessories: Metallic Enamel Shapes (141678)

Instructions:
  • Using Simple Strips Embossing Folder, run Crumb Cake piece through Big Shot. Adhere a Mini Dimensional to each corner, middle and sides of piece and adhere to the Rose Red card base.
  • Using Sliding Door Framelits, run Crumb Cake piece through Big Shot using the larger Door Frame, centering piece in the center.
  • Stamp Barn Door stamp in Early Espresso on the Wood Textures DSP.
  • Using Black Scraps, run the Door Hinges (2) and Door Handle framelits through Big Shot, adhere to the Barn Door.
  • Using White Scraps, stamp the Wreath stamp using markers to color the wreath and flowers. Adhere a Silver Metallic Enamel Shape to one of the flowers. Place 2 Mini Dimensionals to the back of the Wreath and adhere to the Barn Door.
  • Using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, punch out 8 of the bigger circles to use as the sliders for the Door. Place punched circle on both sides of a Mini Dimensional and adhere to the back of the Barn Door and thread barn door into the vertical slots created with the Sliding Door Framelit.
  • Stamp “Hello” to one side of the 2 ½ x 3 ½ Whisper White piece in Memento Black; Stamp “May Your Troubles...” to the other side and adhere to the middle of the Crumb Cake piece.
  • Stamp a sentiment to the inside of the card to finish the card.
