February Technique Class - Washi Tape Wow!

I can't wait to share with you the February Technique Cards, the technique for February is called Washi Tape Wow!  So many times we purchase Washi Tape and then don't know what to do with it, or it is too pretty to use so it sits on a shelf! 

I want to share this great technique with you, we used Markers and Sponges to add color to black and white Washi Tape. We ended up with a unique and contrasting way to add some "Wow" to our cards.

Card #1 - You're Inspiring
For this card, we took the Washi Tape and spread it on a piece of paper so that we could sponge Berry Burst ink onto the tape. What a nice contrast this made for our card, and it was so easy.

Stamp Set:  Sale a Bration Epic Celebrations
Ink:  Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Memento Black
Paper:  Dapper Denim Base, Black Layer, Whisper White
Accessories:  Pick a Pattern Washi Tape, Black Twine, Tutti Frutti Sequins, Sponging

Card #2 - Life's Short
For this card, we used a Stampin' Up! Marker to add ink to the Washi Tape so that the color would coordinate with the card base.  This added so much to the card!

Stamp Sets:  Lemon Zest, Timeless Texture
Ink:  Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz
Paper:  Lemon Lime Twist Base, Black Layer, Whisper White
Accessories:  Pick a Pattern Washi Tape, Lemon Builder Punch, Dimensions

Card #3 - Love You!  (Using the Panel Pull Out Fancy Fold)

 I gave the ladies both options, a Valentine card above or a Birthday card below.

Stamp Sets:  Sure Do Love You
Ink:  Memento Black, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo
Paper:  Powder Pink 11 x 4 1/4 (Scored 1 1/2, 3, 5 1/2 & 8), Calypso Coral Layer, Melon Mambo Base, Painted with Love DSP
Accessories:  Gold Foil for Hearts, White Scraps
