Cindy's Stamping Studio : October Technique Class

The art of Ombre combined with Masks is the technique that I came up with for this month's technique class. If you look up the definition of Ombre, this is what I found.

Ombre: Having colors or tones that shade into each other — used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark.

Masks that we used came from the Holiday Catalog, page 35; and fit our cards perfectly. Use it as the mask, sponge ink using the darkest to lightest for Ombre effects.

Accessories: Gathered Leaves Die, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Dimensionals, Basic Masks, Sponge Brayers, Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon

Card #2 - Birthday Wishes

Stamp Sets: Well Said
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Memento Black
Paper: Bermuda Bay Base & Scrap, Coastal Cabana Layer, Whisper White
Accessories: Dimensionals, Well Written Framelits, Basic Pattern Masks, Bermuda Bay Stripped Ribbon

Here are the Basic Masks as found on page 35 of the Holiday Catalog.

Fancy Project - Apple & Pumpkin Treat Holder

How cute are these treat holders and they were so easy!!

Start out by Stamping & then Punch 2 Apples and 2 Pumpkins with Leaves and Stems.
To create the box to sandwich each pair. The boxes are made from a 3" x 3" pieces of card stock.
Score the 3" x 3" piece of cardstock at 1" on each side and cut two sides to form the box.
Attach a Pumpkin or Apple to one side for the front and attach one to the other side for the back.
Decorate, add little signs made with toothpicks.
