August Technique Cards - Die Cuts & Sponge Daubers

 We had a very fun and easy technique for the month of August.  It is called Die Cuts & Sponge Daubers and reminds me of the Faux Joseph's Coat technique, but a lot less work.  

Take a piece of white cardstock, cut out your die cut.  I used Flowers and Trees for the first card and it worked great.  Then use your Sponge Daubers like a stamp and "stamp" ink all over the white die cut. The look is quite unique, especially when white spots are left.

Card #1 - Hello

Project Recipe:

STAMP SETS: Artistically Inked

INK: Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz

PAPER: Polished Pink Base. Basic Black Layer, White, Pear Pizzazz 1" x 4 1/4"

ACCESSORIES: Double Oval Punch, Polish Pink Open Weave Ribbon, Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, Artistic Dies

STAMP SETS:  Inspired Thoughts

INK:  Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry

PAPER:  Crumb Cake Base, Misty Moonlight Layer, White, Crumb Cake scrap

ACCESSORIES:  Inspiring Canopy Dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, Misty Moonlight Enamel Gems

Fancy Fold Project Recipe:

STAMP SETS:  Penguin Place

INK:  Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Coastal Cabana

PAPER:  Calypso Coral Base 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 & 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 Tag, Coastal Cabana 4 x 10 1/4, 2 1/2 x 5", White 4 x 5 1/4 & 2 1/2 x 4", Black Scraps, Penguin DSP 3 3/4 x 5" & 3 3/4 x 2 1/4"

ACCESSORIES:  Penguin Punch, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Dimensionals
