I Can't Thank You Enough!!

I just got done typing up an article for the local newspapers in my area and will attach it for you all to read. I am just overwhelmed and humbled at the response that I received to our Veteran Thank You card drive.

Subject: Veteran Thank You Cards Drive

Hello,
If you are looking for a "feel good" news article, I would like to contribute.

I conduct stamping classes and a Weekly Facebook Live where I teach ladies how to make All Occasion cards. I have been doing a Veteran Thank You Card drive every year for the past 7 years, I enlist the help from my friends and Facebook friends that watch my Weekly Facebook Live. When I started this in 2019, I thought "what a wonderful cause" and hoped to collect 100 cards, I received 135 cards.

I cards are given to Theresa Schindler who is a Badger Girl State delegate, she takes them with her to Oshkosh for the girls to use as one of their projects during the week that they are there. The girls write personal thank you messages in the cards, the cards are then shipped to the different airport hubs in Superior, Madison, Milwaukee, LaCrosse, Wausau and Appleton/Green Bay; from there they are distributed to the Honor Flights that our Veterans go on and become part of the "Mail Call" when the Veteran come back from their flight to Washington D.C.

This has become a yearly Veteran Thank You card drive, I always tell the ladies that we all have a Veteran in our life that we want to honor. For me it is my dad. This year was no different, we started making cards in January with a deadline of June 1, 2026. The cards have been coming in and have been sent to me from Iowa, Colorado and different parts of Wisconsin. I have had cards personally dropped off from Neillsville, Loyal, Granton, Greenwood and Spencer.

As of right now, I have received 1017 cards!! I have attached some pictures that you can use if you so desire. This is just a small sample of what we have done. I don't remember when for sure but the Clark Co. Press did an article, possibly from 2020 or 2021. I will be delivering the cards to Theresa in early June.

Thank You
Cindy Ehlers
