Stampin' Up! Love What You Do - It's Almost Halloween Time!

 Love What You Do!

Wow Tip: Frightfully Fun Shadow Stamping

Don't let the spooky season creep up on you! October will be here before you know it, and we’re here to help you get the party started with some not-so-scary shadow stamping.

This clever technique gives you a 3D effect with very little effort. Simply stamp an image twice—once in a dark color and again slightly offset in a lighter color. Now you’ve got depth and a bit of blur, making for a “ghostly,” distinctive look. (As it turns out, a spider web is a nearly perfect image for demonstrating this technique—the image just jumps off the paper!)

Step 1: Using the Stampin’ Positioner, draw two corner guides on the Stampin’ Positioner Grid Paper. Stamp the first spider web in Highland Heather ink. Let the ink dry.

Step 2: Move the paper with the Highland Heather spider web just slightly down and to the left (using the corner guides); stamp the same spider web with Gorgeous Grape ink to create a “shadow.”

Step 3: Sprinkle black embossing powder on the stamped spider web, tap off the excess, then heat emboss.

I hope that you enjoyed today's post, give it a try and let me know what you think.
Take Care,
Cindy
