Stampin' Up! Wow Tip - How Does Your Garden Grow?

Wow Tip: How Does Your Garden Glow?

This pretty paper sunflower only looks tricky to
make, and here’s our secret: Scalloped Blooms Dies (167646)! They let you create a fancy, frilly posy in no time. We used Golden Glow Cardstock to make ours—just use a few careful snips and some creatively wrapped twine help it come to life. Tip: You can also make this using Designer Series Paper or stamped cardstock. Imagine the garden of cute possibilities. Plus, unlike the real thing, these flowers will last!

Step 1:  Die cut 2 medium, non-stitched edge scallop blooms from Golden Glow Cardstock. Die cut each piece again to separate the scallops into individual points--simply turn your die just a bit.

Step 2:  Using scissors, cut between each section toward the center, stopping 1" from the middle. Repeat all the way around both bloom circles.

Step 3:  Die cut the smallest non-stitched edge scallop bloom from Early Espresso Cardstock. Cut 55" of baker's twine. Leaving a 3" tail begin creating a spiral design by weaving from one center point across to another. Continue until the spiral is complete, then secure the ends on the back.

I hope that you enjoy today's project.
Take care,
Cindy
