Thanks for Caring Card #2

I've just made this card for our stamping group's Color Challenge. The colors that we were supposed to use was Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue and Basic Grey.  I added a scallop of designer paper for contrast under my butterfly to make it stand out more. You can notice very well but I also used a seed pearl on the butterfly for some added bling!  Not sure what I will need this card for but one just never knows!
Listening to the weather, we are lucking out; alot of states are in blizzard warnings but all we got was about 3 inches of snow yesterday. It blew around some but I must be really use to this winter as it wasn't that bad at all.  We aren't even in the winter storm warnings anymore, a few counties in the southern part of the state are but thats about it.  Looking forward to this weekend, we are suppose to get above freezing and that will be the second time in two weeks, can't wait!!

As always take care and thanks for stopping.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Doesn't this look like a card thats almost good enough to eat?!!  It uses the new cupcake punch and coordinating stamp set, Create a Cupcake.  All from Stampin' Up! and available in the Occassions Mini Catolog.  I received a card similar to this in a swap that I participated in but it was a long card, so I shortened it up and put my own spin on it.

The cardstock is Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Early Expresso; I added two rhinestone brads and used the dotted embossing folder and tulip embossing folder to give the card some texture.  A black marker colored the stem of the cherry on top of the turquoise cupcake!  How cool is that?!

Thanks for stopping in, take care and will talk to you again.

Thanks for Caring Card

It was so nice to have such a nice weekend, we actually made it above freezing!!  Two days up to 30!!  Whoo-hoo!!  Heat Wave!  I am hoping that we are past the really bitter cold weather, a few cold days is fine, some snow but lets start thinking about spring!!  It was time to create a springtime card and this is what I came up with:
This card uses Perfect Plum , Very Vanilla and Always Artichoke Stampin' Up! Cardstock; I also got to play with my new Designer Series paper, Sprinttime Vintage. The stamp set is Thanks for Caring, its one of the stamp sets from the new Occassions Mini Catolog.   The ink is Perfect Plum. I ran my cardstock through the Finial Press Embossing Folder, added some Chantilly Ribbon and also added Beautiful Wings Embosslits to complete the card.

As always thanks for stopping and take care.
