July's Technique - Polished Stone

July Stamping Technique

Polished Stone

We created a unique background called Polished Stone, once again you can also re-create this look by looking around your house!  Rubbing Alcohol and Cotton Balls and your Stampin' Up! ink pad re-inkers.

Our first card was a sympathy card,

I just love how this card turned out, the flowers remind me of sunflowers!

And this is our fancy fold card, its a box top card as it folds in just like when you fold a box!  Above is the outside and below is the card unfolded.

(This is a original design that I came up with, the fold I got from my friend Janet Forton)

And that takes care of our class for July, 2012!  I always am amazed how much I am enjoying the techniques and folds, it really takes me out of my "comfort zone" but I love it!!

As always take care, stay cool (we are having hot and humid this week)
