July Kit Class Cards

What a fun time we had Tuesday night this week at our monthly Kit Class.  The cards were great, even if they seemed a little putzy.  We had fun and I can't wait to share them with you. So sit back and enjoy!!

Card1 - This Just Stinks!!

 I just love this little get well card, the sentiment says it all!

Stamp Set:  Foxy Friends
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Basic Grey Base, A Little Foxy DSP Layer, Cherry Cobbler Scallop, Whisper White Circle
Accessories:  Dimensions, White Gel Pen (to draw the face)

Who wouldn't want to receive this Get Well card, it would cheer anyone up that is for sure.

Card 2 - Hello Baby!

 A cute little baby card, it is always nice to have a few baby cards on hand.  They always come in handy.  What a cute little onsie, the great thing about this card is the background is stamped!  We took all of the images that were in this stamp set and positioned them on the large clear block randomly, inked it up and stamped, then randomly stamped the baby bib in Bermuda Bay.  I accidently came across this color combination when the two stamp pads were sitting next to each other, they looked good together and there you have it!!

Card 3 - Happy Anniversary

 The Happy Anniversary card is so elegant, the soft colors with the Smokey Slate Base works!

Ink:  Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black
Paper:  Smokey Slate Base, Mint Macaron Layer, Whisper White 2 1/4 x 3 3/4, Smokey Slate

Accessories:  Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, Dimensions

Card 4 - Wedding Congrats

When I saw this card, I instantly fell in love with it.  You can make the heart background any color you want, but I loved the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy sponging that created this background.  I cased this card from LeAnn Greff of Flowerbug Blog.  I love the elegance of the White on White of the heart.

Stamp Set:  Thoughtful Banners

Ink:  Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy

Paper:  Whisper White Base, Dapper Denim Layer, Whisper White 3 3/4 x 5 and 3 3/4 x 4

Dimensions, Sponge Daubers, Bloomin Heart Thinlets, Rhinestone Jewels

The secret of this card is that you sponge the 3 3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock then position this behind the heard that is cut out using the Bloomin Heart Thinlet.

Card 5 - Ball Jar Thanks

This was such a simple card, but simple can alot of times be better.  Who doesn't remember catching lightning bugs and putting them in a jar!

Ink:  Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Island Indigo, Basic Grey

Paper:  Smokey Slate Base, Dapper Denim Layer, Whisper White scraps

Accessories:  Jar Thinlets, Dimensions, Sponge Daubers-Island Indigo, Sponges-Whisper White, Woodland Embossing Folder, Wink of Stella

After embossing the Dapper Denim layer with the Woodland Embossing Folder, we lightly sponged Whisper White onto the trees to make them pop!  The lightning bugs were colored with the gold Wink of Stella pen.
