And Last Where I Left Off....

I ran into a bit of a card making slump!  I mean it, I could not think of any kind of card that I wanted to stamp!  Who would have thought!  So rather than hang my head in frustration, I decided to get back to my scrapbooking. I usually only scrapbook in the winter when I have more time. When I scrapbook, I have a tendacy to spread everything out, I have cardstock, stamps, ink all over the place!!   So the year that I am up to now is finishing up 1998. My mom and I had went to visit my sister in Palm Desert, California.  Palm Desert is not too far from Palm Springs and the Santa Jacinto Mountains.  So one day my mom and I took the tram ride up into the mountains.  I love how both of these pages turned out, BUT I ask you.....why does one take pictures of snow when you left Wisconsin in the first place to get away from the snow!!!!

Like I said, the year was 1998 and my sister had not yet bought her own place yet. Its been awhile since we've been to California. Most of our winter breaks lead to Florida, as you can see when we get to the next scrapbook installment.

That will probably be tomorrow. I have more pages to share and I wanted to get them all loaded so that I could stamp some cards today. See I just got my new stamps with my contest winnings and I can't wait to stamp some cards!  Yep I got my inspiration back.  Yippee!!!!

As always, take care and we'll talk to you soon!

Love is in the Air? Or is it just Boredom?!

So its terribly cold here in Central Wisconsin, colder farer north but I am almost, not quite, but almost to the point of "I am sick of winter, time for it to warm up!"  We had -15 here, and it sounds like it will be cold all week, not quite as cold as this morning but cold just the same.  Its suppose to warm up to a whopping 18 degrees but then when it warms up, what will happen?  Snow!  The weather guy is predicting that we may get big snow by the next weekend rolls around.  Oh yea!!

So after I got done cleaning yesterday, making chicken noodle soup for our supper I started making Valentine cards. Stampin' Up!  sent all demonstrators with their first order in December these cute Valentine Rub On's. I have not worked alot with rub ons but they are quite easy and make a card come together in fast order.

This is what I came up with:

Notice how nice my pictures are turning out?!  I got some camera tips from another website and I am really liking the results. The pictures are turning out alot more clear but I still have problems getting to look bigger on this blog so that they don't get blurred. Oh Well, will have to keep on playing with it.

I plan to do some more stamping this afternoon, nothing else to do; house is clean, dusted and mopped, making barbecues for supper; Oh and the big football playoff game is at 3:30 today, so I am sure we will be glued to our TV watching the Packers!!

Take care, as always thanks for stopping.  I just did a preview and maybe I am getting the hang of the photos as they do look better!!

Just Believe Sympathy Cards

I needed a couple of new Sympathy cards AND I wanted to try a couple of tips that I received for taking better photos of my cards. Well I am happy to report that the tips paid off, my photos look better than I have ever taken before. I am very happy about that!!

The recipe for this card is All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Just Believe
Cardstock: Black, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Black
Extras: Embossing Folder, Grosgrain Ribbon, Black Embossing

Its so cold here, and it doesn't sound like its going to get any better. We can look forward to a high of 15 degrees tomorrow. Brrr!! I usually don't mind the snow and cold but this year it came too soon and too fast! January is always a long month but I will stay busy stamping and scrapbooking!!

Thanks for stopping in, take care!!

I am a Winner!!

Every month my upline for Stampin' Up! Kelly Acheson has a card contest. For the month of December, I won!!

I was thrilled to win the prize which consists of a $25 gift certificate to purchase Stampin' Up! product.

Thanks for stopping by, I am working on another Cupcake card.

Take Care,

Cindy

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

I just got done making this card, it uses the new Stampin' Up! stamp set Create a Cupcake from the Occasions Mini catolog that just came out!

The cardstock is Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink! The card also uses the new Cupcake Punch that just came out! It also uses the Tulip Embossing folder that I just love, it adds the perfect accest for this card. This was a fun card to make and will be added to my hoarde of cards for just the right moment.
I don't know, I can't seem to make my pictures big enough for them to look decent. Could be the age of my camera or I am just not doing something right.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year; it wasn't an exciting day today for us, just did the laundry, made some homemade soup for our supper and I worked on our budget in the morning. All I can say is that I am glad that is done!

The card that I made to share today is a Baby Thank You. A friend of mine is going to be a first time grandma and she wanted some baby thank you's for her daughter. This is what I came up with.

I made the baby tee's in different colors; the base of the card is Stampin' Up! Retired Summer Sun; with Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White layers. The stamp is the Baby Tees wheel.

Thanks for stopping and take care.
