Memories are Wonderful!

I wanted to share with you some pictures of some plants that I just got from my Grandmother. You see my "Grandma" had beautiful and wonderful flower gardens. She enjoyed her flowers and vegetables and spent alot of time in them. This spring we had to say good-bye to my Grandma; it was her time.

So last weekend, my mom said, "Come up to Grandma's and see if there is anything that you would like." Little did my mom realize that my memories of my Grandma are of her and her garden. So when I got there, where was the first place that I went in search of the perfect thing to remember her by....her garden!

Grandma not only had beautiful flowers but she did something alittle different. She made a wild flower garden on the northside of the garage. These two pictures are of Jack in the Pulpits. I think they are so cool and you can't find them very often. The feathery plant in the middle is a flower called Dutchman's Britches. Its done blooming already this year but I can't wait until next spring to see the little white flowers all in a row on the stem.

I have been referbishing my flower gardens, adding some decoration, etc. Well I added this little bear bird feeder to the middle of my garden and look, there's a little chipmunk checking it out. I call him Alvin, he has alot of fun stealing sunflower seeds and driving Maggie and Tucker crazy, as he zips past them. Its not the greatest picture but I was standing on our porch when I snapped the picture.

The last picture is one of my newest Hosta. I also got this from my Grandma; I really like Hostas and have quite a few different vareties. This one reminds of elephant ears, the leaves are just huge. We planted in an area that we can't get grass to grow. I am pretty sure that it will do pretty good.

Its Graduation Time!!

As Promised, Cards!!!!
I finally got to play, if only for alitle while!

I needed a couple of graduation cards and here are the two that I cam up with. I have gotten so much use out of the Stampin' Up In the Stars stamp set that is in the Occasions Mini Catolog. It really so versatile, I just love it!

The first card also has something alittle different that I learnt at the Stamp Camp that I went to last weekend. I punched out stars and then put it behind tinfoil and rubbed, it made the stars jump out! How cool is that.

Recipe:
Stamps: Stampin' Up In the Stars, Stary Wheel
Cardstock: Blue Bayou, River Rock, White

Now this card started out being cased and then I changed it to make it my own. Its for a young lady that we have known since she was a baby! We use to go camping with her family and now she is all grown up! Boy doesn't that make me feel old! I really like how this card turned out, I took some copy paper and made a little diploma and wrapped Gold Cord around it.

I've been a bad stamper!

Hi Everyone, Yep I will admit it, I have not stamped all week and only stamped last Saturday because I went to a stamp camp that a friend of mine was having. Stamp Camp was awsome and I thought I would be motivated fore sure but nope, this week all of my lovely stamping things are just sitting on my desk waiting and waiting. But tomorrow that is going to change. We got invited to two graduation parties and I want to make a couple of new graduation cards. Plus I just got my Fresh Cut stamp set and notecards and I just HAVE to make something!!

But I should not feel too guilty, its nice outside, the grass is green (and needs mowing again!) and my flower gardens are looking pretty good, if I do say so myself. I just love spring, its right up there next to fall in my book. I tend to spend alot of time outside.

Do you like the above picture? Its a picture of my beagle, Maggie. I think it looks like she is smiling! She was enjoying herself when I took this picture; she was trying to attract the attention of our hounds. My son was working the young hounds and Maggie wanted to get in on the attention and mass confusion.
Here is a picture of one of the many Bluegils that we have caught this spring at a lake just west of us. We've been doing alittle fishing and even though I am not a great fan of fishing, I have to admit its been fun. I usually get very bored when it comes to fishing but this spring its been really alot of fun.
The one day that my husband and I were fishing we seen a large buck with antlers in velvet come down the bank and come within 3 feet of the water. We were out in our boat and the deer could care less. And nope no camera, but it would have been a great picture.
Well stay tuned, I promise I will upload some cards tomorrow. Take care and thanks for stopping by.
