My Dad and Some of My Memories

As a lot of you know, the last two weeks have been very difficult for me. Myself and my family are saying good by to my dad and his celebration of life is today. I make up a lot of my posts ahead of time and sometimes it is just easier for me.  And this is one of those times.

So please humor me, this post might not be about cards and stamping but I wanted to show you what my dad was all about. He had many loves, his horses was one of them.

His little red Ford Mustang was another one of loves.  He loved to tell the story that he bought it at a garage sale in Florida. My folks liked to spend time in Florida and going to garage sales was a past time of theirs. He then had to trailer it home and got a kick out of all the stares from people on the interstate when he was bringing it home.

Hunting and fishing was another hobby, he was particularly happy that not only did he enjoy it but also his grandson, granddaughter in-law, son-in-law, great grandchildren and myself also enjoy it. We love to be outdoors just like he.

And the last picture I want to leave with you today. My dad walked me down the aisle forty-two years ago, forty-three in April. One of the happiest days that I have ever had. Daddy joked with me all the way down the aisle, where Jim was waiting for me.  My dad said, "You know we could go downtown and have a cup of coffee and then come back, Jim would be still here waiting."

I love you Daddy, we have so many memories. This is just a few of them. Thanks for letting me have one last memory.
Cindy
